There are many ways to approach this, and the best of them depend on the nature of the door.

• Narrow door in a narrow alcove -- make a Dex check to see if you can get into position to help the main door-opener; success mean you provide a 2-point bonus to that fellow's attempt.

• Doors to the Giant's workshop -- if you can get at least 5 people with at least a 10 Str each to press on the door, it'll slowly creak open.

• 4-foot wide door in a 10x10 hallway -- the strongest opener can be aided by two others; if they make their Str checks, they each add a bonus to the strongest guy's check.

The esthetic is to decide how to rule based on the circumstances. If there is only one way to cooperate to open a door, then there is only one door in existence and it keeps reappearing, and that gets old quick. YMMV.
