Printings

Post by Machpants »

Hi All

I have the 1st print of the standard Core Book as well as the Foil edition. I was wondering if some one could enlighten me about the printing differences please:

1. What differs from 1st to 2nd printing?
2. What about 2nd to 3rd?
3. Is the Easley Core Book 2nd or 3rd print?
4. How about the Wizard Core book?

Thanks

1. This document includes the errata from 1st to second printing.

2. This one includes the changes from 2nd to 3rd.

Aside from that the 2nd and 3rd printing are identified as such in the credit pages and the ads for the third party products change (or at least they change from 1st to 3rd since I don't have a 2nd printing to verify that). The rest of the content is the same.

3. & 4. Both are 2nd printing IIRC.

Thanks, is there a list of the errata changes between the printings? Is it significant? I think I remember the 2nd had an index added (EDIT Found the 1st to 2nd errata document, is there a 2nd to 3rd document?)
EDIT Again found it! This thread can die and thanks

1. The 2nd printing has an index and errata.

2. Besides updated ads, some minor errata and credits page, the book binding is different. It seems that the cover is a bit more flexible on the 3rd printing. When you lay the book out, the way the spine is stitched allows the book to lay flatter, and the other spine cover doesn't bend. I think this is an improvement, that will help the book last longer. I have attached a picture for comparison. The 2nd printing is on the left, the 3rd printing on the right...turned to the same page in the book. You can see how the 3rd printing lays much flatter. The 3rd printing is also thicker, even though the page count is the same. Otherwise, the content is the same.

3./4. I own both of these versions, and they are both the 2nd printing.

Thanks for that, I have added the money for the slip case (which is third printing) to my DCC #83 Kickstarter pledge.
