Hello from down under

Hi folks, I'm Mike from the west coast of Australia.

I started role-playing in 1981 with AD&D, Tunnels & Trolls, Traveller and Gamma World. Over the years I've tried lots (LOTS) of game systems but always drift back to old-school D&D or Original D&D - Finn's ODD74 boards are my favorite spot.

I'm taking DCC for a spin because it looked fresh and different.

Cheers

Hey, Mike. Glad you found this place. OD&D has been my "go to" game most of my gaming career, then C&C fit the bill, now DCC is pushing its way into my list.

"Fresh and different" is a great way to describe the game. It takes many of the old ideas and infuses some randomness and coolness into the game to make it seem more vibrant.

It helps that the modules are so good. The flavor of the modules is very "pulp S&S" style with a lot of coolness and a lot of creepiness. And great maps.

You'll like DCC, I'm sure!

G'day Mike. I'm born and bred in Adelaide myself. Welcome to DCC.

Welcome aboard, Mike. May the blood of many players dry on your hands.

You can cripple characters in other rpgs too, but DCC is so hardcore, that even your players will bleed.
