I agree with everything in the article. I'm actually enjoying creating a 0-level funnel for my players. I'm basing it off of the kernel of an idea that you posted about your funnel. I'm also using the Random Esoteric Creature Generator. One of the things I've discovered that I love about random tables is that they instantly insert solutions if used creatively.

I am currently working on two 0-level funnels that should be adaptable to any campaign. I am also working on a large, old free city for DCC that includes much in the way of lost buildings, catacombs, and ruins beneath it. Effectively a "campaign hub" for a persistent world.
