That would be truly awesome.

I can't stand page flipping.

I use my ipad for tracking initiative anyway.

This would be awesome. My iPad has become my RPG library and gm screen. I got to proofread the rules, and did it exclusively on the iPad, so the game and device are pretty closely associated in my mind.

App?? App!! Hey man this is a retro game. We'll be doing a Flying Buffalo-style play-by-mail campaign starting next month! Apps are way too 21st century for us!!

Just kidding. That sounds great. I'd love to take a look when the time comes.

C'mon Joseph. I told you about the iPad months ago... At least I rolled real dice in my Google+ game yesterday.
In all seriousness, this would be handy.

Don't you know that Van der Dandenclanden is from the FUTURE?! (Which would also explain why he's posting here, I thought he died a month or so ago.)

I'm more concerned about it being for iPad only, it needs to be Android (please.)

I'm sure I typed it in right!

Funny Mr. Vandervalkfromthefuture, made me smile that did :D

Now just a quick conversion for the VIC20 and we have the market covered..
Just thinking what we could do with the extra 3k of memory blows my mind.

Perhaps we can have a DCC retro 80s robot that makes cups of tea and moonwalks?

We do already. It comes with the extra-limited-edition circuit-board-cover version of the DCC RPG book. Didn't you get yours?!?

Mine arrived on a cloud of champagne wishes and caviar dreams wearing Ray-Bans and an oversized neon-green shirt that said RELAX in big black letters.

Per the boss:
goodmangames wrote:The pre-order shipments should leave the printer middle of next week -- probably by Tuesday or Wednesday. The printer is in the midwest...

"Next week" = This week. As in the tomes are hopefully shipping today or tomorrow.

As soon as the books are in brick and mortar stores:
goodmangames wrote:The PDF will be available for individual sale at the same time the hardback is available for sale in stores. Based on the latest printer timeline that will be early to mid May.

Thanks, but wait. You call that a "doodle"? WTF? That's better than most crap I see called "art".

Hey thanks. I drew it on a scrap of A5 paper that was lying about. I was wondering what to draw when I thought of the monster entries in DCC and remembered 'Android' and thought what kind of weird robot can I doodle?

You know, this new game is a spark to my imagination. I think Joseph has hit the nail on the head of what has been going wrong with a great deal of rpg's....too normal! D&D has kind of turned into the establishment, another Monopoly if you like. I suppose being owned by Hasbro might be part of that, I don't know. Even though I enjoy the 'retro clones' and with imagination they can still be genius in the right hands, too many games end up becoming nostalgic romps with rose tinted contact lenses worn. One of the real cool things about DCC is that it kind of expects you to break with tradition and do something new and different with your games and characters. I may be rambling and I am not knocking anybody else's way of playing as such but for me, the wonder of the new and unexplored was what made roleplaying fun when I grew up, not which super turbo deluxe skill feat beat combo I could work out on a spreadsheet. I don't know about many of you but I have spent hours browsing through ebay, buying old rpg books only to get them and put them back on ebay in a deflated puff of nostalgic smoke. Thankyou Goodman Games, I think you have cracked it!

So...when is the Dm screen coming out? Lol. I have pre-ordered pretty much everything else.

The GM screen and the travel mug! I know some people are rolling their eyes at my insistence on a travel mug, but is there better advertising for this game amongst the mundanes than by sitting in your favorite coffee shop sipping a hot beverage out of your DCC RPG mug whilst reading the book?

I rather be sitting in my favorite tavern sipping beer out of a DCC RPG beer stein.
