Official Limited Edition Gold Foil Cover Thread

Post by reverenddak »

I'm sorry, but this needs its own thread. The Gold Foil cover is so METAL it makes me aggressive and want to mosh in a pit. Seriously. I love it SO MUCH.

You need to sell a T-shirt with this on the front and do a contest for the words on the back... Or make it just like a genuine Heavy Metal concert T-shirt, and put tour dates on the back when DCC RPG was being play-tested last year.

Please?

I'd buy one in an instant. I'm sure so will those that were "there".

Hell yeah. I'd totally buy that as a shirt and wear it to a Danzig show.

That would be a pretty awesome t-shirt...

I'm pretty intrigued about the secret message encoded into the artwork. Do you have to hold it upside down? Play it backwards? Does it tell us to commit crimes or use black magic?

Probably summons a demon, and if we do it wrong we get some demonic taint.

Not sure if I want to give it away, but the secret message is actually visible in the art, even at the screen resolution shown in the forum posts above (though it's a little small there). If you need a hint, let me know. But if you figure it out, don't give it away!! Let everyone have the chance to discover it...

TBH I prefer the awesome art on the standard core book, but I am getting both just to be sure! ;)

I think it's such a good idea, i decided to throw together a couple concepts of what I think should be on the back: Both take on a metal "concert" tour style. I'm sure the pros can do something better, but I thought I'd throw it out:

I like the idea for a t-shirt design. If I can find the time, I might do something like this...

Why are the best looking books in print are Old-school RPG related?

Do we just have the best taste?

Joseph, thank you. THANK YOU SO MUCH! for making the Heavy Metal version. It's so amazing to have such an awesome cover for a game that I love so much. I couldn't be happier.

You're welcome. It did turn out well and it looks particularly awesome in your photo -- it's like Glamour Shots for RPG's! :)

Ah, thanks. I have been debating getting that one. I have the Isle of the Unknown, which is nice.
