Although the Goodman Games forums here are the right place to discuss the DCC RPG, there has been some ratings and discussion (and funnel character creation) of the beta over on RPG Geek.

RPG Geek also has a Play By Forum module which is very active and has a secure built-in randomizer that lets you deal everything from cards to random weighted selections from a list.
http://rpggeek.com/wiki/page/Geek_Randomizer_Guide
One benefit of the Geek Randomizer is that it perfectly handles randomization of d-anything (d3, d5, d7, d14, d16, d24 and d30) and perfectly handles combination of dice (i.e. 1d20+1d16) showing both the total and individual die rolls.
I'm one of those guys who is somewhat put off by the specialized dice (and I love dice) but love so much of what I've read in the system. In this case, playing the DCC RPG via forums may actually work out really well as we all have an infinite supply of virtual dice of any sides.
If you are interested in starting up a play by forum of the DCC RPG (it would be public - I'm sure Joseph would enjoy seeing it run), you can ask for participants http://rpggeek.com/forum/379243/rpg/play-by-forum
I'm guessing you would have a full (virtual) table in less than a day.

Thanks for the link. It's always nice to see where they are discussing the game. Sounds like a good format for PBP gaming, especially with the dice roller!wavemotion wrote:Although the Goodman Games forums here are the right place to discuss the DCC RPG, there has been some ratings and discussion (and funnel character creation) of the beta over on RPG Geek.

mighty vagrant thews
I'm sure most folks here aren't following the adventure in the forum over at RPGGeek, but in passing we just had one of the greatest phrases ever:
"mighty vagrant thews"

Actually, the thread is a great example of how folks approach the funnel. A sort of playtest with full transcript.
