Amethyst Humans as Fantasy Classes?

Sorry if this is a bad question but I wanted to make sure as one of my players wants to be a human ranger.
Can humans choose any of the Fantasy Classes? The book talks about Echan and Techan humans but does not specifically state that a human could be a Fighter, Ranger, etc.
