Monstercology: Orcs

Over my years of playing D&D, my absolutely favorite critter to throw at the party has undoubtedly always been the orc.

I've developed campaign settings, campaign arcs, mythologies tribal politics all in one form or another about these viscious green thugs. I've given them a little bit of a break here lately, but my newly started 4e campaign will be seeing judicious use of them too so when I saw that this book was going to be coming out I was stoked.

This is moving to the top of my list of, "Must Get" products.

Is it May yet?

I believe on the sixteenth of April there is going to be an article all about orcs in Dragon Magazine that is co-written by a friend of mine here in PDX. I could have the date off a bit, but hey, Orc Article for your enjoyment. To tide you over until May.

I'd make a point of returning to the Orc's Nest to buy this book, if it weren't 5,000 miles away.

...the store, that is, not the book.
