Amethyst -- Free RPG Day Downloadable Content now available

Post by DiasExMachina »

This Saturday is Free RPG Day. Goodman Games and Dias Ex Machina are releasing an Amethyst module, Hearts of Chaos, which offers a story-based adventure while also introducing the basic elements of the setting and gameplay. What makes this Free RPG Day module different from the rest is that it also has a free online supplement. This supplement includes additional encounters as well as five pregenerated characters using the new classes present in the final book. These characters are "techan"-based, meaning they use firearms and technology instead of magic. Those interested should hurry to Dias Ex Machina or Goodman Games and download the supplement before the event.

Out of curiosity, is there any chance of the actual Free RPG Day booklet being made available as a PDF? My local game store had run out of this one by the time I was there.

I don't know. Let me get back to you on that.

Let me add that the rulebook was finished AFTER the free module and some issues have been expanded and clarified in the main book. I imagine people will have questions about how the classes really are. (Why do some classes have six at-will while others have five?). All these answers are in the main book. Or you can ask here, and I will answer. I know most companies just lay it out there, but I want you guys to know I do read and understand your thoughts and I want to make the game you want to read....and buy....

I am keeping a running count of questions here

The title of the post certainly makes it sound like there is a place to download this material, but the post itself seems lacking in links.

I also missed out on this product (I didn't see it at my game store so I assume they were out) and would like a look at it.

Hi guys,

The Amethyst Free RPG Day book will be available as a PDF in mid-July. This thread refers to the free downloadable extras that are available for the Free RPG Day book. Those can be found here:

Hope that helps.

I have no idea how they do it, but for me, mid-July is the period from the 11th to the 20th....

Considering Goodman shifted his HQ across the continent, I would give him a little leeway.
