You've got hundreds of spam accounts registered. More recent versions of phpBB have an optional visual verification requirement that can be activated by an admin, preventing these bots from registering and, eventually, spamming like mad.

It's a relatively quick operation to do the upgrade. Mostly it's just uploading the right files into your board's directory.

I believe Joseph has already upgraded and enabled the visual verification. I know the board I run is using the most recent version with visual verification turned on and we still get spam accounts all over.

Yup, Dieter's correct. Even with the upgrade there are new spam accounts registered every day; the visual confirmation didn't make a difference. I just went to admin approval of each new account (versus it being automatic before) so I start catching them earlier.
