Xcrawl's Greatest Hits

In XCC, you're a superstar athlete taking your chances in a live-on-pay-per-view death sport. It’s a modern-day world with a fantasy twist, and the game is simple: the Dungeon Judge, or DJ, creates an artificial dungeon under controlled — but lethal — conditions. Can you survive?

Xcrawl's Greatest Hits

Post by DJ LaBoss »

Submitted by the Giant of Nod from Surgical Strike:

Trapped in the dungeon with you

Artist: Stealer's Wheel Lyrics
Song: Stuck in the Middle With You Lyrics

Well I know why we came here tonight,
I got to fill the whole crowd with delight,
I'm so scared in case that damn mage makes me lose all my hair,
And I'm wondering how we'll get out of this lair,
heroes to the left of me,
monsters to the right, here I am,
trapped in the dungeon with you.

Yes trapped in this dungeon with you,
And I'm wondering what it is I should do,
It's so hard to keep this crawl in it’s place,
yes this DJ over here’s a disgrace
heroes to the left of me, monsters to the right,
Here I am, trapped in the dungeon with you..

Well you started this with paper,
And you're proud that you're dungeon man,
And my friends, they all come crawlin,
Slap you on the back and say,
Please.... Please.....

Trying to make that elf take the fall,
But I can see that it makes no sense at all,
Is it cool to see the dwarf hit the floor,
'Cause I don't think that I can take anymore
heroes to the left of me, monsters to the right,
Here I am, trapped in the dungeon with you..

Well you started this with paper,
And you're proud that you're dungeon man,
And your friends, they all come crawlin,
Slap you on the back and say,
Please.... Please.....
.....

Marceille,
Thanks a bunch for that. I'm touched and grinning like an idiot.
Rock on!
-Spell Reaver
So here is the big question. Do giant gorillas dream of giant bananas?
-Spell Reaver, about to have a barrel containing a flaming monkey thrown at his head.

Thunderfoot the Halfling

Queen
Bohemian Rhapsody

(Mercury)

Is this a real fight?
Is this just fantasy?
Face in the limelight
Your escape’s my reality

Open my eyes look up from the fight and see
I’m just a Halfling, I need no trivialities
Because I’m here to fight, here to gloat, spider climb, here we go
Up the wall or over, doesn’t really matter to me, to me

Mama just won this crawl
Took my potion, used a spell, held my action, down they fell
Mama, we are heroes now
Because we beat them all, and got the fame
Mama, ooh, >up the wall and over< did you see the way I tried
To pick that lock and stop the trap from tripping
On my own, on my own, as if scorch marks didn’t matter.

Stand back, and let me go
Don’t need to use the floors; up the wall and to the door
Come on everybody I’ve got the rope
Got to climb up past that cube to leave this room
Mama, ooh, >up the wall and over< I don’t want to fight
And so we’ll leave this room without a brawl

I am a little silhouetto of a man
Thunderfoot, thunderfoot, can you hear the fans going
Thunderfoot the Halfling, very, good at climbing, “me?”
(What do you know) what do you know (what do you know) what do you know, what do you know, I’m in the show
Sponsors know, he is a Halfling skilled at the thieving
He’s just a small boy from a small family
Watch him pick locks and he’ll dodge traps with ease
crowds may come, crowds may go, will you watch the show
Yes we will! we will watch you go
(Watch me go!) Yes we will! we will watch you go
(Watch me go!) Yes we will! we will watch you go
(Watch me go!) We will watch you go
(Watch me go!) We will watch you go
(Watch me go) Ah
Go, go, go, go, go, go, go
(Oh mama mia, mama mia) mama mia watch me go
The dungeon judge has a level put aside for me for me

So you think you can mock my height and my size
So you think you can get me with your next surprise
Oh baby, you can’t do that to me baby
Just gotta get through, just gotta get through one more crawl

Traps don’t really matter, anyone can see
Traps don’t really matter
Traps don’t really mater to me
Up the wall and over
greetings from vicodinland! wish you were here.

The Wall of Fire (Set to Ring of Fire by Johhny Cash)

Fame, is a fickle thing
And it makes fans voices ring
Now as the stakes are dire
Our mage casts a wall of fire

Our mage casts a burning wall of fire
It goes up up up
And the flames went higher
And it burns,burns,burns
The wall of fire
The wall of fire

The smell of burning flesh
And gore do sweetly mesh
But flames, make ratings vast
So that spell our mage will cast

Our mage casts a burning wall of fire
It goes up up up
And the flames went higher
And it burns,burns,burns
The wall of fire
The wall of fire

nice one.

OK this is more generic, D&D

Kobolds in the jar
(whiskey in the jar, words and music traditional)

As we were going over, the dungeon prepped for battle
we met a band of kobolds and their money they were counting
The wizard had his spell book and I, I had my rapier
The ranger had his bow and the Halfling had a dagger

musha ring dumma do damma da
wack one and down he goes
wack one and down he goes
there’s kobolds in the jar

We counted out the money and the magic and the treasure
And split it up between us, for that was only fair, we
We said and we swore, that the next battle we’ be ready
but the devil take the Halflings, for they never can be easy

musha ring dumma do damma da
wack one and down he goes
wack one and down he goes
there’s kobolds in the jar

In battle the next dungeon, he found his potions empty
His gear it all was missing, and for sure we had a caper
The critters took the potions and filled them up with water
And sent out for the ogres to be ready for the slaughter

musha ring dumma do damma da
wack one and down he goes
wack one and down he goes
there’s kobolds in the jar

Twas early the next morning, as we went out for battle
With ogres all around us, some damage, I was taking
The cleric started casting, the Halfling had his potions
But he couldn’t heal with water, so the spells we were a wasting

musha ring dumma do damma da
wack one and down he goes
wack one and down he goes
there’s kobolds in the jar

If anyone can help me it’s that cleric in a hurry
So the mage, he cast the quick spell, and that cleric he is hasted
And if he’ll come and heal me, on the monsters well be bashing
And I swear he’ll heal me better than that Halfling and his potions

musha ring dumma do damma da
wack one and down he goes
wack one and down he goes
there’s kobolds in the jar

Now some teams take delight in the slaying of the dragons
But others take to undead and the casting and the turning
But we take delight in the dungeon and the battle
And stomping on the goblins and the ogres and the vermin

musha ring dumma do damma da
wack one and down he goes
wack one and down he goes
there’s kobolds in the jar
greetings from vicodinland! wish you were here.

Once again I find myself in awe to the shear power of the gamers mind.
I'm working on another!

Not so much a song as a revamped poem, but the next song is on the way, never you fear!

DJ Black Heart This Way Comes

Artist: Drawn from several different sources, including movie, books, and TV

Flowers bloom as black as night
Removing color from your sight
Nightmarish vines block your way
Thorns reach out to catch their prey

And by the pricking of your thumbs
Realize that their poison numbs
From frightful blooms, rank odors seep
Bats & beasties fly & creep

'Cross the whole land, ill winds blow
Despite the darkness, light still runs
All will rot & decompose
When DJ Black Heart this way comes

DJ Black Heart, cold as stone,
the DJ screams down from his throne.
One by one, each man succumbs.
When DJ Black Heart this way comes.

Ill winds mark his fearsome flight,
and autumn branches creak with fright.
The landscape turns to ashen crumbs,
when DJ Black Heart this way comes.

Crystal water turns to dark,
where e'er his presence leaves its mark,
and boiling currents pound like drums,
when DJ Black Heart this way comes.

A presence dark invades the fair,
and gives the crawlers ample scare,
for chaos reigns and panic numbs,
when DJ Black Heart this way comes.

Reverend Allan Hoffman

GM: “Okay Misha, make a Wilderness Lore check instead of your spot.”
MISHA: “25.”
GM: “You succeed.”
MISHA: “Okay, what is it?”
GM: “There’s a disturbance in the forrest.”
MISHA: “Oh you did NOT just say that!”

For those of you who liek a bit of the modern hits here ya go!

Fame

Artist: Three Days Grace
Song: Pain

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone

You're sick of being snubbed
You're not the only one
I'll take you by the hand
And I'll show you a world that you can command

This crawl is filled with hurt
Where a magic spell doesn't work
Trust me and take my hand
When the lights go up you will understand

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone

Worshiped and adored
Is better than being bored
Trust me I've got a plan
When the lights go up you will understand

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone
Rather be dead

I know (I know I know I know I know)
That you're wounded
You know (You know you know you know you know)
That I'm here to save you
You know (You know you know you know you know)
I’ll always heal for you
I know (I know I know I know I know)
That they'll praise me later

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone

Fame, is what I love
Fame, I can't get enough
Fame, I’m strong and tough
'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone

'Cause I'd rather be dead than washed up and gone
Rather be dead
