Okay try this on: an ogre gets captured and brought into the games. He is a bit less evil than average - a sort of progressive oger who really just wants to be left alone. He beats hell out of every adventurer he faces as well as any other monsters he is set in a room with.

He becomes a fan favorite. Before long, an enterprising agent comes along and gets a special waiver for the ogre. The ogre gets to join a crawl team as their brawler.

If your players have a sense of humor this might be fun

That 'helpless eyes' thing will end any encounter!
