Early Buzz on GenCon's Xcrawl Tournament - PhoenixCrawl Open

In XCC, you're a superstar athlete taking your chances in a live-on-pay-per-view death sport. It’s a modern-day world with a fantasy twist, and the game is simple: the Dungeon Judge, or DJ, creates an artificial dungeon under controlled — but lethal — conditions. Can you survive?

Early Buzz on GenCon's Xcrawl Tournament - PhoenixCrawl Open

My good friend Gerald Cameron, one of the playtesters and editors who helped provide some great feedback on the PhoenixCrawl module, wrote about it in his latest blog. He really enjoyed the sneak peak, and talks a bit about the product line. His blog is very well regarded among boardgamers and Indie-style RPG gamers (a la the Forge community http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/). I'm glad he enjoyed participating in the playtesting, and that Xcrawl caught his attention.

Thought folks here who enjoy Xcrawl and are looking forward to GenCon might enjoy this teaser.
Crypt of the Devil Lich, Dungeon Interludes, The Mask of Death, Adventure Begins, Vault of the Dragon Kings, the Power Gamers Wizard Strategy Guide, The Adventure Continues, Palace in the Wastes and PhoenixCrawl Open

I'm psyched already. Both this and the DCC tournament are going to be great this year. One of these days I have to pull a Monte Cook and go to Gen Con as a "regular guy" so I can play in my own tournaments...
