Obviously the technology exists to record sound and for taking pictures, but I haven't really seen anything in the rulebooks about movies or video (other than a throwaway line somewhere about the film industry, with regards to lost jungles in Antartica).
I'm assuming the ability to create and animate scenes exists within Etherspace, and as that is likely more economically feasible than filming a motion picture, perhaps that technique has supplanted the development of movie/video technology.
It's an interesting concept. Rather than, say, pouring over the Zapruder film frame by frame, people could immerse themselves in a recreation of the event and view it from any angle. Which is fine for entertainment purposes, but hardly a reliable historic record.
So I guess I'm curious as to whether or not movie/video technology does exist in the Etherscope world, to what extent it has been developed, and if there exists a means to "upload" the finished product.
Sorry for the long-windedness of this post, but it's my first one and I'm trying to sound smart.
Movies and video in the Etherscope world.

Remember, tab tripping is primarily done to escape reality and the immersive experiences obtainable from pleasure domains, which can be customised has generally replaced other escapist pursuits. Mass media doesn't really have a market because of cost, lack of dcistribution and social restrictions on its use, so cinema is of a 1920-30s style and prevalence.
Okay, that makes sense. I can see "cinema" being totally marginalized by its failure to live up to the standards of immersive entertainment. However, I can still see it having some value as a means of historical record.
A reel of film makes a great MacGuffin, and just finding a projector to watch it on could be an adventure on its own!
