Illumination and light sources in DCC?

Post by DirtySkeptic »

I recently purchased Idylls of the rat king. While an awesome module, it seems to lack information about sources of illumination (I.E torches in hallways and rooms, etc.) Am I to suppose that there is no lighting in this dungeon?

I always assume that unless otherwise stated.

Since I have recently translated the module I would say that there is almost no light source. The Goblins (and they are the majority) all have darkvision and need no light. In some rooms there are fire pits and the like, so there should be little illumination. It would also be likely that in some rooms there are torches for added warmth or to relight fireplaces and the like.

But it is safe to assume that Narzy and Lawrence have provided for some light, even if there is nothing mentioned in the descriptions.

Hope that helps. Maybe Jeff Quinn will add a different answer.
