Alternate cover for DCC #27

Post by welland_warrior »

Hi there,

Does anyone know why new cover art was used for the second printing of DCC 27 Revenge of the Rat King?

Thanks!

Hmm... I thought there were two 'alternate' covers when it was first published: the original-PHB tribute cover, and the, um, er, the other one....

I thought that I read somewhere that one of the covers was thought to be too graphic for the bookstore shelf. After all some poor innocent kid might see it and and be tempted over to the dark side of gaming.

I heard/read the same thing. Can anyone confirm or lay out the story?

What did the original cover look like? I've only seen the one with the rat god statue holding the brazier and the adventurers around it.

You can see the covers in the 3E section of the adventure finder here at GG.

Just to clarify, it was published the first time around in A- and B-versions, the difference being the covers.

Unless, I'm completely wrong.

Which I've been before.

But I don't think so this time...
