D20 Modern, OGL Horror and the CG to Dopplegangers

Post by Golem2176 »

I recently acquired the Complete Guide to Dopplegangers and I must say, I am quite pleased with it. It wasnt exactly what I expected, but nontheless it my the gears in my head spinning for a Horror game! Near the back of the book under the Settings section the idea of a modern horror game is presented. I havent really given it some thought until now but October is coming up and I want to run a D20 modern game mixed with OGL Horror and using the Dopplestadt. It will be the ultimate horror game. The dopplegangers that reside within the living mansion will play on the fears of the characters bringing to life fictional characters from modern horror movies. It will be complete with guest appearances of Pinhead, Jason Vorhees, Deadites, Freddy Kruger and other celebrity slashers (and possibly the Crypt Keeper from Tales from the Crypt). Hmm, maybe I ought to use the the sanity rules from Cthulhu D20. It will be a battle to reamin sane and alive.

Prepare for carnage and terror!

Uh oh, that sounds like a game to fear! ;) I'm glad you enjoyed the book.
