Should the name of this branch of the forum be changed?

From where I sit, its the main branch that gets hit with all the heavy spam about ***** and **** and even with posts about *******-****, occasionally.

If it weren't called 'Off Topic', maybe the spam-bots would go away...

It could be Table 487 - Subjects for Discussion (Roll d%) or something of the sort.... :D

I've always wondered about that. It does seem like the spammers zone in on "Off Topic" as a subject. Okay, let's test that theory! Accepting submissions for the new name of this forum...

Random Real Life Encounters

Periapt of Proof Against Spam

Reality Miscibility Tables

I think that third one is my favorite, but they may all be too cheesy for actual use here. :D

I love that one... but you know that the next time a newcomer visits the forums, he'll have no idea what it's about!

er, um, ....just change the description below the Section Title. Currently, it is: "You know... whatever." ...I'm just going to assume you've had a long day...! :P

('Sides, it'll be encouragement to explore. We all love exploring. I'm holding a torch right now.)

However, Mr. head trumps my ideas though.

And his forum title suggestion rules, as well. :P

It's true. Gnome is probably holding a torch right now. The fire department has made frequent stops at his home. They usually find him exploring the basement (the floor joists caught fire, last time). Upon discovery, his comment is, "what strange ecology this dungeon has".

Gnome, if I win a No Prize again, I'm sharing it with you!

Jengenritz, could you ship half of my No Prize to Gnome?

Being in California means it is a slab foundation.

But there are Shriekers, Drow and Carrion Crawlers under there somewhere!
...I just know it!

Also, I would gladly accept half a No Prize. It would compliment my 3-D specs, Charles Atlas memorabilia, 6-ft. submarine, Sea Monkey habitat collection and my many guides to learning guitar, juggling and selling Grit perfectly.

Our basement doesn't have any drow...they've fallen out of favor recently.

Quite possibly the coolest bookshelf I've ever heard of...the sea monkey habitat, particularly. I used to love those things as a kid...yeah, call me easily amused. ;)
