Violet Fungi Encounter!

Post by ATOM »

I posted the incorrect final version.
I originally inserted three figures to get the scale and detail correct.
But as you noticed they were all the original character. Here is the proper
finished piece, the character bringing up the rear is a doughty Dwarf Fighter.
There is also a moustachio bedecked thief hiding behind the Witch.
(he was the original figure too, but I just slightly modified him)

He must have rolled a natural twenty to hide. I didn't even notice him until I read the text.
"When creating your character, choose an ethical system that can justify nearly any fit of temper, greed, cowardice, or vindictiveness, for example, Chaotic Violent..."

Ta DCC, its one of those pics where you have to look into the background.
I initially started it as various tutorials to improve my backgrounds in photoshop.
I generally divest all my drawing/rendering energies on the characters in a picture,
and pay little attention to the background scene. This piece reversed the trend. To
really set the background mood I think its better to actually draw and plan out the
entire background scene before adding the foreground characters. Anyhow the bottom
line is, it pays to experiment.
