Coming soon: Morningstar, Underdark, Boundless Blue, EN Mag!

We have a lot of great books at the printer right now, so here's a quick update on what's coming your way soon.

MORNINGSTAR, the intriguing fantasy campaign setting that was a semi-finalist in the WotC Setting Search, is physically in my hands as I type this. It will be in stores on approximately October 10. It looks wonderful - possibly the best-looking book we've produced yet. Well, no, that would be Monsters of the Endless Dark... or maybe Monsters of the Boundless Blue... or perhaps the Underdark Adventure Guide, which is also exquisite. OK, it's ONE of the best looking books we've done yet. The golden age world of Morningstar is driven by a mysterious plot in the form of a dark Prophecy, which gives it a compelling sense of urgency you don't find in most fantasy worlds. There's room for stand-alone adventure, but also the potential for epic quests as characters try to uncover the shadowed threats that plague this gilded land.

MONSTERS OF THE BOUNDLESS BLUE is at the printer. I've received the proofs and it looks even better than Monsters of the Endless Dark (which was nominated for Best Graphic Design & Layout in the ENnies). Boundless Blue is a monster manual covering the denizens of the deep, but it's far more than a bunch of weird fish. It's possibly the most creative approach to undersea life that I've seen, using its researchers-of-the-unknown angle to tie the creatures together in a cohesive ecology that's just full of adventure possibilities. Expect it in stores in early October.

The UNDERDARK ADVENTURE GUIDE is also at the printer, and should be in stores by mid October. This book was originally scheduled for early 2004. Why is it late? Because we kept reworking it and reworking it and reworking it again until it was perfect. As with all of our products, it takes an original slant on an interesting topic. It covers all the basics in a manner designed to inspire adventure ideas, and also introduces several new concepts. From new player options (derro, duergar, and drow, plus troglodytes, gloom barbarians, the new radiomancer core class, and much more) to new monsters, campaign tips, and strange underdark locales, it's 144 pages of potential adventure.

The third issue of the EN WORLD PLAYER'S JOURNAL is also shipping soon. Subscriber copies should be mailed by late September, with it appearing in stores shortly thereafter. This issue introduces more unorthodox and original ideas for your d20 campaigns, covering material for both players and DMs. It features the next installment in the Adventurers Guide to Surviving Anything (covering rowboats, canoes, and rafts; and giant clocktowers); The Joy of Summoning; Arcane Technology; supplemental material for Green Ronin's Noble's Handbook; an introductory adventure for Morningstar; and a half-dozen other great articles.

As always, more information on all of these books can be found at http://www.goodman-games.com . Check out the previews of Morningstar, and look for previews of the other books coming soon!

w00t! Everything looks good!

I'll have to pick up Monsters of the Boundless Blue - seems like it's right up my alley.

It should be -- after all, we're all using the same d20 rules! ;) Seriously, though, both the Underdark Adventure Guide and Monsters of the Boundless Blue take a world-neutral approach, so they should integrate easily with any campaign or other 3rd-party books on similar topics.
