The readied action doesn't always work, it gives you the possibility of it working in the form of an attack roll.

DCC is great in that you can learn the rules in stages. The zero level PC funnel is great because its like a rules lite version of the game. Once they reach first level the game opens up, but you can always have them take longer to reach first level or just let them know some classes have more chart...

There has been a free RPG taste on free RPG day. Unjust would have rather have seen a new short PDF adventure and kept Doom Of the Savage Kings as the rare paper only artifact.
