Re: Hello and THANKS! (1st edition modules)
Hey guys, I'm new here and I would like to use my first post to say thanks for this awesome DCC line, especially the 1st edition versions, which I just purchased 3 of at KN. I had a few questions... How is this new 4th ed. licensing thing affecting the previous product line? Will there still be roo...

Re: !st DCC order just arrived today
JZ, Let us know how your search for DCC #35 goes. There is a SW copy sitting on the shelf at my FLGS. It isn't discounted, but it is still in shrinkwrap, so there's a tradeoff. I'd buy it for myself, but I already have DCC# 35 in both print and pdf and I don't think I need a second copy. If you don'...

Re: !! Saga of the Rat King/ Flip Book !!
Are the two Gen Con 1st Edition special releases going to be available in pdf format? If so, will they be available from the usual electronic media vendors (YourGamesNow, RPGNow, DriveThruRPG and Paizo)? I know there is a sunset date for these pdfs that is probably tied to the 3.5E sunset date (Oct ...

Re: Greyhawk locations...
Performing a little thread necromancy here... So, have any of you creative DM's placed any more of the DCC adventures in good ol' Greyhawk for your gaming groups? If so, what locations have you identified for the DCC's? There are some good suggested locations above, but there have been a lot of DCC'...

Hey Save vs. Death Ray:
I'll be at the Goodman booth early on Thursday, too, and will be there until I have to go grab the stuff for my first game at 2:00 Introduce yourself - I would like to meet you, and I'm sure others in the Goodman Games booth would as well.

Bump. I'm still interested in what the event offering will be for ERP at Gen Con. Details like the following would be useful: -- number of sessions? -- number of unique sessions or events (2 sessions of adventure A, 1 session of adventure B, etc.) -- adventure synopsis? -- character generation demo'...

Yeah, it's too bad there isn't another DCC that fits between Idylls and Revenge, or that follows after Revenge. The storyline kind of begs for more about the Rat King...

Re: Time for a new C&C DCC
Hmmm. Not having seen any of the 1e conversions firsthand, I'll defer to your suposition, Mr. 4547 (or can I call you 'TJ'?) So, then the question becomes, how 1e-able is 4e? Well, I did the conversion work on all three of the 1E conversion products released by Goodman Games. But someone els...

Re: 4E DCC
Wow - two of the first-release DCC's are by Harley Stroh. Way to go Harley! I can't wait to see what the Known Realms tie-ins are for Fortress of the Mountain King.
*takes a peak at checkbook, nods to self*
Looks like I'll be throwing more money at Goodman Games for their 4E DCC's.

Re: Time for a new C&C DCC
I'm probably speaking out of turn here - I do that a lot - but I think that the 1E DCC conversions were technically published using OGL terminology allowed under the OGL itself, albeit in the form of 1E-like stats, mechanics and spellnames, and thus would be considered OGL products. Absent the OGL t...

Re: 4E DCC
Well, I'm not up on all of my Known Realms lore, but if memory serves there was some mention of the mountain king in the two adventures dealing with Kyleth, the Witch Queen. If it is the same mountain king, then the setting would be in the Northlands. Those factors should provide some insight to the...

Well, compatability is a somewhat nebulous thing. Almost anything can be compatable with something else, depending on how much work you do as GM. As is, based on the Alpha rules, it will be less compatible than 3.5 was to 3.0 (and vice-versa). <snip> Well stated! :D Despite conventional wisdom to t...

Quite right! The time is indeed about right for a new C&C conversion...or a new 1st Edition conversion release.

Hahahah! Great story! Iron Crypt is a great adventure for a convention or one-shot game day style event. An absolute blast to run as DM/GM/CK. I ran it six times in 2006. Of course I'm biased. Duh!
