How far will the government (public) schools sink? Standards for teachers are reaching the bottle of the barrel when a documented wererat is allowed to teach young children!

For reasons I can't explain my top pick is Rob Thomas' cover art on the original DCC#2: The Lost Vault of Tsathzar Rho. It is so moody. It was this cover that first got me to lay down money on a Goodman Games product. Here's the top ten list (with one being best): 1. Rob Thomas' cover art to DCC#2 (...

Castles and Crusades

Howdy,

Are plans in the works to convert all out-of-print DCC's into C&C format?

What about current and future releases?

Inquiring minds want to know.

If it were me DMing this and the PCs did attempt to bring back St. Duframe, I'd allow it. The PC would be struck dead and St. Duframe would appear. The Saint would crush the Devourer and place the PCs under a geas to travel to The Iron Crypt of the Heretics (DCC#12.5) to stop more of this evil from ...

Dont' get me wrong, the module is excellent. You wrote a fine adventure. My gang games at my house and has a 12-year old boy in our group. Between him and my little 2-year old son, I'd never run this module in their presence. If it were just my "old guard" group of 30-something guys, this ...

DCC#18

I finished reading it.

It's...intense. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to use this one. Still mulling it over in my mind.

The horror level rises above the old classics of Tomb of Horrors, The Forgotten Temple of Tharzadun (sp).

I'm all about pre-made adventures. I've no time to spend creating such myself. Even when I did, back in high school I still prefered purchased adventures to home-brewed. The professional adventures are SO much better than anything I could ever hope to make. Besides, why spend the time making such wh...

Howdy, How about a series of two or three adventures in the ruins of an ancient culture like the Mayans, Incas, or Aztecs? The old AD&D module C1: The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan evoked a wonderful feel of traditional fantasy characters intruding upon a culture and world far different than their ...

Will this "super-dungeon" be useable for generic d20 D&D or Castles & Crusades?

How much will be drawn from the Blackmoor campaign settings?

My idea as to how to get low level characters from Point A to Point B when the two are far apart can be found in Dungeon Magazine Issue #10. It's "Secrets of the Towers" by Larry Church. Here is the link to the magazine: http://paizo.com/dungeon/products/issues/1988/v5748btpy72y7 Sorry the...

You are so right. My faithful magic-user I created back in '80 always had a pointy-hat. That was one of the stock items for magic-users. They completely disappeared from D&D art work until these fellows got their work into Goodman's products. The classic "stereo-type" depictions of adv...

Those are drafting symbols. They represent gaps in the map. For example, the first one you mention with 1000 represents a 1000 foot gap in the map from one end of the "lightning bolt" to the other end. It shows that the tunnel continues for a long distance with out actually drawing it.

Thanks for the answer. I figured that must have been it for, if I recall rightly, it costs more to do a perfect bind than staple, especially if you stitch the binding.

Not to give anyone a big head, but for anyone thinking about buying this module it is worth the money.

I'd suggest taking a page from the old first edition AD&D. Have the two player characters hire three or four men-at-arms. Make them first level warrior non-player-characters. Out fit them with leather and shields. Arm them with short shorts and spears. They won't outshine the PCs and will be abl...
