RE: SavageRobby I'm cool with that! Send me a PM after you get the hard copies and I'll give you my shipping address! 8) Also, to use these game aids, is the best thing to do to simply download the images you've posted? Or would be it better to get sketchup, and are the source files available somewh...

The next adventure I'm running will be the Talons of the Horned King , which I already own in PDF format. I will be posting whatever visual aids I end up making for that adventure in about a week or so. I'll be running the Sunken Ziggurat after that, which Ogrepuppy so generously donated. 8) Here is...

RE: TIK: The Wizard cast Ray of Frost & the other players used blankets to help douse the fire. They even dragged Kos out of the fire so he wouldn't die (and so they could interogate him later). If I recall correctly, the PCs have about 5 rounds to douse the fire before everything in the room is...

I went the extra mile and created my own campaign setting called "The Temple of True North." It's geared to treat each DCC sort of like a Stargate SG-1 mission where a temple built by a forgotten race at the North Pole is basically Stargate Command. The underlying premise is that much of t...

That said, I am developing some visual aids for the small village of Kyarovsk and converting some of the black&white interior art into color counters for use during the adventure. And the "ship" near the end might be worth modeling if only to get a good side view. Rest asssured that I...

These maps are, quite literally, breathtaking! WHOA! (I mean that in the Keanu Reeves kinda way, too.) Very VERY nice job. And it really adds to the ability to describe the map to the players! Again, wow. Glad you like 'em! I know that you've mentioned that Horned King would be tough to rend...

There's no way SketchUp's rendering capabilities can hope to compete with the interior illustrations provided in the DCC adventure, but I thought it might be helpfull to explain the geography of the last room a bit more clearly: http://misterhook.tripod.com/misc/forumpics/DCCpics/zig_level5_blackhea...

http://misterhook.tripod.com/misc/forumpics/DCCpics/zig_overview.jpg As stated previously, I found it necessary to flip the Level 4-5 map along the North-South axis in order to align the stairwells. I suppose you could say that Level 4 is so much deeper in the ground than Level 3 that you could bui...

These maps are awesome! I'm curious what program you used to design them? These maps were all done using a relatively cheap 3D modeling program called SketchUp. You can download a free demo version here: http://www.sketchup.com/ You can also see some of my more elaborate artwork in the official Ske...

I adjusted Liath's stats to that of a true Drow using the Monster Manual. For reasons beyond my ability to fathom, the adventure only gives her first level Elven stats. Drow have more spell-like abilities and Liath should be upgraded to CR2 for being both a Drow and a first level Druid. My players d...

This is really, really cool. Thanks! I plan to reuse the building models to create my own generic village maps some day. 8) For instance, the Talons of the Horned King adventure says the PCs can go back to the village of "Kyarovsk" to search for rumors, but doesn't provide a map for the v...

Why aren't there any Level 17-20 DCCs?

Just curious. I have a bunch of DCCs lined up to take my players from 1st to 16th, and I'd like to use the Epic level DCC (21-24), but I haven't figured out yet how I'm going to bridge the gap. Any suggestions?

----- So the bard, whose player is a young lady who prefers roleplaying over combat or tactics, drew, "You murdered someone and got away with it. You wish to keep this guilt hidden." ----- Who did she kill, and how does it affect the Wildsgate NPCs? I'm looking for a nice, Hitchcockian tw...

At the Goblin Spires, I wanted to give the PC's a sense of how just how perilous a fall from the platforms would be. This model was extruded by importing a converted JPG of the map itself, and you can see the textures of the original map covering the surfaces of the model: http://misterhook.tripod.c...

Thanks, JediOre! I would be curious to hear some feedback from the author. In particular, I had a hard time figuring out where to put the bell tower on the Chapel given the odd positioning of the door. Also, does the height of the cliffs and the slope of the earthen ramp seem reasonable?

Since I’m an architectural illustrator by profession, I tried to convert the Wildsgate town map into a crude 3-D model just to see if I could wrap my head around the scale of things (I'm a neophyte DM). I managed to piece together a crude 10’ scale model using an architectural modeling program calle...
