Re: Castle Whiterock Question & Actual Play
That is why I like the DCC RPG rules better. You can spice up mundane slavers by allowing them to cast their tattoos at the heroes like a magic missile. The manacled hands could strangle for 1d4 damage and cause a -2 to attacks unless a Ref save is made or something like that.

Re: clericless dcc
However I have considered taking them out of the game for awhile similar to what happened in Dragonlance. What happened in Dragonlance? My friend took me through the first two modules back in 1988 and 1989. I had a cleric and a multi-class cleric/magic-user yet have no memory of anything odd or ove...

Re: clericless dcc
In me experience it is the class that everyone complains about playing the most. I always get asked for more details about the gods what can be turned and spells. I always get complaints about the wizard class getting all the love when it comes to spell casting while clerics get shafted. I personall...

Re: Growing Magic Toadstools?
If the non spell casters are going to just recycle the same character sheet with a quick name change then I would just give the mushrooms to them in large quantities. I wouldn't worry about the rules or making sense. Sounds like the players just want to power through this thing. This is not my play ...

Re: Are wizards too powerful in your campaign?
Also most people don't realize that a cleric can enter into a spell duel with a wizard. Have them raid a temple full of evil cleric willing to die for their god and you have several duels with multiple clerics against one wizard. If this doesn't slow the wizard down and make him think twice about ca...

Re: Are wizards too powerful in your campaign?
I'm late to this party but I would spell duel. I recently just started using these rules and they show just how fragile a wizard is. Once you start a duel it only takes 1-3 rounds for someone to die. Even if the PC survives he should see the writing on the wall. If I keep dueling I will die sooner t...

Re: songs of mighty deeds
I wouldn't mind my players making up some formal tables for mighty deeds. To date we have just ruled them on the fly. The most popular deeds have been two for one attacks and crippling attacks to eyes or legs. Some of the more interesting deeds involved trying to take a hit for another player and go...

Re: Question on Map 31: Level 11, map 2
Never mind. Rereading it, it looks like that spur that I thought went off the map just ends there and it's a tunnel by the halfling cook who is trying to dig his way out of the Underdark with a butter knife. I don't want to know where he's putting the dirt and stone or how long he's been here. :lol...

Re: Alkivasha DCC Patron
Thank you for the kind words. I can see how that is confusing. The Mage Alkivasha was the first human to make contact with the patron long ago. He started the first cults and did his patrons bidding until his death. Over the ages the cult of the first eye fell out of favor. The name Alkivasha was mi...

I think the Duergar should be waiting in ambush. I would trap the hell out of everything and jump them when they are near dead. Then drag them down into the Underdark kingdom of the Duergar.

I plan on attending Gary Con next year for the first time. Does anyone know when badges and tickets normally go on sale? The web site says start planning now because things fill up fast. Then it also says badges will be on sale soon. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it.

I just started using G+ and don't really know what I'm doing. However I'm getting better at it each time. I only decided to check it out because everyone I talked to at Gencon asked if I was on G+. They all encouraged me to sign up soon because I was really missing out on a big part of the DCC commu...
