Re: Pitching DCC to potential players.

"It's like D&D, but this one goes to 11" Note: my following post should be taken no more than half seriously. I hate that phrase, especially when someone is attempting to use it in the way that has just been done. What you have said, sir or madam, is that it (DCC) and D&D are basi...

Re: coins as props

I think tangible stuff like this is always a plus at the table. Like Colin said just a bit more immersion. And you can always print out your own oversized coins on card stock or matte photo paper and glue them back to back for campaign specific coinage. I'm sure they are out there, but I've never ha...

Fun write up. Thanks for sharing! Few things in the world are as nice for a gamer dude as a wife who can appreciate and enjoy the hobby. I am blessed in that regard. :) I remember clearly the first discussion 20 years ago while we were engaged: 'what are all those boxes in your closet?' Everything h...

Re: PSG: The Crawler's Companion Kickstarter is live!

Ok that makes much more sense. I was going to suggest it should have been the back page as it would be less distracting there. Yeah, that's exactly what I assumed when I was creating the PDF: of course you put the back cover at the end, right? ;) But after doing some research, I agreed with the con...

Re: PSG: The Crawler's Companion Kickstarter is live!

Yes, it's the back cover on the printed version. It's there in the PDF so that when you print it at home, if you have a duplex printer it will maintain the same page layout as the printed version. If you're crazy like me, you'll print page 1. Then print print pages 3 to the end (minus the legal stuf...

Re: PSG: The Crawler's Companion Kickstarter is live!

Thanks to everyone who supported the Kickstarter: it was a great success! We raised $5,581 to help spread the Crawler's Companion far and wide. :) I've already used portions of the funds to purchase Mac and iOS equipment, and the iOS beta will be available later this week. For those who like this so...

Re: PSG: The Crawler's Companion Kickstarter is live!

Thanks... the last few days have been insane. :) I created a final-final goal, set it way out there, added some new backer stuff... and boom. $1000 of pledges today. So if anyone else wants to get in on things, there's 16 hours to go. I'm think I'm too exhausted to come up with anything else at this...

I've created a quick video discussing the status of the Crawler on iOS, and take the opportunity to thank everyone for the wonderful support! h...

Re: PSG: The Crawler's Companion Kickstarter is live!

I meant to ask before, what exactly is this dice set? You'll be able to change the look of all the dice that roll in the game from the default gold to a different colored set. When we wrap things up I think I'll create a poll for folks to vote on the new color. (And once the code/selection screen i...

Re: PSG: The Crawler's Companion Kickstarter is live!

With four days to go, another funding goal bites the dust! All backers will now be receiving a 2nd mini-adventure in September (The Predations of the Green Man... should be nice and scary!) and I'll be adding a new dice set to the Crawler. :)

Your generosity continues to amaze. Thank you!

Re: PSG: The Crawler's Companion Kickstarter is live!

If you've ever used the Purple Sorcerer character generator please support this cause. Funding has kind of stagnated lately and I'd hate to think this won't reach the final goal. The utilities at Purple Sorcerer have seen a ton of use and it's been entirely free of charge. Things like this are a hu...

My print copy arrived today as well. I have to say this is a quality module! In the Crawler's Companion kickstarter there is a pledge level that includes a hardbound book 'The Sunken City'. Is that going to be available outside of the Kickstarter at some point? Thanks for the kind words! (and sorry...

Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: The Sunken City Starting Adventur

Received the print copy this morning. Haven't had a chance to do much but glance through it. Looks good from what I've seen. The first thing I noticed (once I got past the goodness of the cover) is that it is "perfect bound" rather than saddle stitched. I haven't had good luck with perfec...

Yeah, what TheNobleDrake said! There's just an assumption of uniqueness, flexibility and glorious unpredictability in DCC RPG monsters. Which is cool! That being said, some general guidelines would be helpful to create. We can extract a lot from the sample monsters and the character charts, so some ...
