Re: Is corruption meant to be permanent?

I expect that each wizard will have 20 permanent Corruption effects. You can use a longsword. There's a reason. Agreed, this sounds like a tone of casting. Still, I think it is important for some folks to successfully test a wizard from level 1 to 5 just to make sure it is possible. You should be a...

Re: Armor

NOOOooo. Variant rules in the core book is a bad idea - let people houserule it themselves if they want but maintain the core as definitive. I think this rule is the only one that doesn't boost the dwarf over the warrior or involve more calculation. Joseph had said he was going to collect his favor...

Re: Multiple Mighty Deeds

Is it mandated that you declare both actions and roll at the same time? Because in my experience often the players will want to direct their second attack at the primary target, unless the first attack kills it. I think in most cases I'd see my group rolling the first attack before deciding what to ...

Re: Stamina adjusting hit points

Ahh, I looked there. It says it affects hit points (which it clearly does at level 0), and then that you get a minimum of 1 per level regardless of Stamina (also true of level 0). But it doesn't actually say that the Stamina modifier is applied again at each level (so that you've applied it twice wh...

Multiple Mighty Deeds

The description of the warrior indicates that you can declare a Mighty Deed with each attack. It also says that you roll one Attack die and use it for both of your attacks that turn when at 4th or 5th level. This means that if you get a high attack die result you can essentially choose a Mighty Deed...

Re: Warrior titles.

I like the idea of the titles. I think the particular lists need work. The thematic jumps can be jarring. For example, as a neutral cleric you get titles that suggest being an arbiter or judge, and then suddenly druid. Other lists are better. I kind of like the encouragement to give yourself a title...

Stamina adjusting hit points

On page 14 it indicates that hit points for Level 0 are modified by Stamina. There is no mention I can find of Stamina impacting hit points. I'm assuming this modification is intended to be applied at each level? Or is that my traditional experience overloading the rules as written?

Gods of the Eternal Sruggle

Turn Unholy on page 22 indicates that it is "any being without a soul that the cleric's scriptures declare unholy." Page 81 doesn't expand on this. However, the table on page 24 includes monsters and even humanoids such as goblins, or cursed beings such as lycanthropes on this list. This c...

Re: Armor

I agree on shields. I'd like to see armor bonuses slightly compressed and shield bonus expanded, something like

Padded/Leather +1
Studded/Hide +2
Scale +3
Chain/Banded +4
Half-Plate +5
Full Plate +6

Small Shield +2
Large Shield +3

Re: Mighty Deeds of Arms Question

I was also confused by this when I read the rules thinking an attack die was probably a die rolled when taking the attack action. I think calling it simply an attack bonus die or combat die even warrior die would be enough of a distinction.

Re: Weapon Training (Page 16)

Registered to chime in with support for the "no weapon penalty" route. Instead make class specific requirements and limitations. Some combination of penalties to hit, limitations on damage, and penalties on ability use with different weapons that are driven by the individual class descript...
