Re: Links to DCC RPG Resources, updated 6/21

I made this Appendix N flavored 'artsy' remix of the character sheet using art from the DCC rule book- could it be added to the listed resources?

Recently read this module and I love it to death! Fabulous encounters, cool encounters and ideas throughout, perfect dreamy atmosphere. Can't wait to play this with the gang. Kudos to you, Raven Crowking!

Wow, that's generous!

Always great to see a gamer help a fellow gamer in need.

Great module btw, one of my favourites.

Re: A question about XP

Thanks a lot for your replies! They've done away with my confusion. The one thing I do which deviates from the rules as written somewhat is if the party minimizes the impact of an encounter because they use their heads and figure something out, like maybe a magical trap that they had a clue about av...

A question about XP

One thing I find difficult to grasp is how GM's are supposed to give Experience Points. Sorry if this has been discussed before, the Search function didn't give me any results. Page 359 tells us that XP are rewarded by Encounter, not creature or challenge. I find the difference between encounter and...

I gave it to them at the end of the session and told them it's not mandatory to read. What story did you use?

Appendix N short stories as Handouts

So I recently plugged a desert into my campaign world, called it Yondo and had the characters find a scroll in a wizard's grimoire: "The Abominations of Yondo" (by Clark Ashton Smith). They seemed to like it so I'll go along with the idea and plug other short stories into the campaign. I b...

Re: Skill use vs ability check use

Have you seen this on page 66? It's an important little rule, and I always think about it when having to decide what die type I'll let them roll: "Finally, if the skill is something that any adult could have a reasonable chance of attempting, then any character can make a trained skill check.&q...

Doom: Spinning fire threads

With our recently started campaign, we're currently playing Doom of the Savage Kings. Great module, love it! One of the players, a wizard, has picked up on the Mad Widow Ymae's "fire spinning" and wants to learn doing it. In the module, it says: "The Widow sits with a spindle and dist...

What do you think they'll do for issue #100?

A megadungeon? A complete Adventure Plunge in one book?

I know it's still quite far away but one can fantasize... or at least collect some suggestions.

Re: Player vs Character XP

This is kind of a weird rule, and I would run it by my players to see if they like it before houseruling it in, if I were you. If your players like to be immersed in your game-world, this rule might irk them, as useless spending of money would meta-buy XP for other PCs who are not even rolled up ye...

Re: Player vs Character XP

I'm planing to use a modified rule from Adventurer Conqueror King that I really like: When a character spends his gold for nothing of actual value (ale, whores, giving it to the poor, giving it to random strangers, throwing it in the sea) they gain a reservoir of XP that their next character starts ...

I adore Barrowmaze (if it's even possible to adore such a horrible place).

How are you converting it to DCC? Or are you just running it as-is? I'm asking because I've thought about doing the same thing for our upcoming campaign.

Thanks !

Chances I'll do a ref screen are low because I always roll in the open. Maybe I'll change that practice If DCC turns out to be too deadly in play.

Alright, I guess you're correct then! Thanks.

Didn't think of adding a birth augur. It's the same basic information as on the regular DCC sheet.

Ok, I take a shot but If the good people at Goodman Games tell me to take the file down I will do so instantly. I'll also do that if I find out beermotor is no real lawyer.

Here we go.

My Character Sheet Remix

Hi, I'm a long time lurker and finally found a reason to come out of my hole and write something to you... First of all, I'm a HUGE fan of the DCC RPG. I adore absolutely everything about this game. Perfect style, perfect rules in my opinion. Can't wait to finish our campaign that uses this other un...
