Goodman Videos Killed the Radio Star
Hey, those are fun...! I want to hear more about the shortage of Sea Drakes and what action is being taken to preserve and nurture the proliferation of these ancient and majestic creatures, ...so we can kill them at our game tables. But Harley needs to flip the swtich on his, so they are not protect...

Re: Glad's Old School RPG Art...
I totally get you on how many weird things there actually are in the world... I like to paint clouds (what?) and there are clouds I've seen and/or photographed that no one would ever believe in a painting or drawing, no matter how faithfully an artist could render them. I'm just of the mind that tha...

That Kaidan map makes we want to fire up a campaign, it's that good.

Glad, that is another amazing piece.... ...but could I make a tiny contructive critisism? The stalactites look kinda soft-serve-ice-creamy... I think if the edges on them and their shadows were jagged, even just very slightly jagged, the pic would be a lot more gritty... jagged stone suspended above...

Re: How Far Ahead Do You Plan Your Campaign?
I plot out events as if there were no heroes, then give the PCs every opportunity to screw with it. This jumps out to me as sage advice... And coupled with the 'if the heroes have a rep, get them' idea, you cover a lot of how to conceptualize an adventure/campaign, right there. My own metaphor is t...

Well, don't get me wrong. I'm not advocating shoving anyone down a single path.... But sometimes, there's that witch out in the woods, and if you don't so something about her, well, what she's doing is going to have a vast and horrible impact on the world. Dealing with her is the one thing that need...

Re: How Far Ahead Do You Plan Your Campaign?
Having multiple options gives the illusion of free will instead of turning the adventure into an obvious railroad. In some ways, it's still a railroad ... it just has a couple of different tracks. I also layer in clues to the short-term options that lead back to other choices, whether they'r...

How Far Ahead Do You Plan Your Campaign?
I'm curious about various answers to this, and the strategies secretly contained therein.... I'm currently prepping an extended adventure (following on from an extended adventure of last year, so a campaign of sorts). I have an overall arc of events linked by a major problem and an ultimate solution...

Thanks for coming out to DunDraCon, guys. I enjoyed playing in a segment of King Dretch and picking up both Sellswords and Death in Luxor in the dealer's room. (Though I noticed that Harley was on a 'tentacles grab at thee' frame of mind when he wrote those, apparently. Maybe he's always in such a s...

What did the original cover look like? Just to clarify, it was published the first time around in A- and B-versions, the difference being the covers. Unless, I'm completely wrong. Which I've been before. But I don't think so this time... See them both here: http://www.goodman-games.com/dc...

Re: GnomeBoy's Tribute to Dungeon Crawl Classics
Heh heh, you sound slightly interested... I have a very rough draft that was done last year. It needs road-testing before I can refine it into fan-produced gold. Since my group was non-plussed by 4e, I haven't worked on it since we stopped. I will be at DunDraCon in less than two weeks (actually, pa...
