Re: Well... That Is A SECRET!!!

I'm not sure if this has already been decided, but I think that a table of 5 would be a good compromise - it fits in one additional player per GM.

Re: Well... That Is A SECRET!!!

We're currently discussing level ranges, but I'm personally a strong proponent for a lower level adventure than Crypt of the Devil Lich (which was geared toward 15th level characters). I wasn't suggesting 15th level characters...but 9th-12th wouldn't be bad for a tournament adventure. I think it wo...

Have you settled on a level range? My vote is for a high level tournament. :)

Re: Questions about the Gen Con DCC Tournament

Part of this idea might also include some rumors, lost journals, etc. with vague clues about what to expect on the adventure, giving a framework to help select PCs from. Could you elaborate on this more? Will different PCs have different clues? Will some PCs be more powerful but lack information re...

Re: Questions about the Gen Con DCC Tournament

Hi everyone, We've been tossing around some ideas about the Gen Con tournament. I was wondering if I could get some feedback. We're probably going to go with smaller tables this year (4 PCs per table). What do you think of providing each group with 6 pregen PCs, and having the groups PICK their 4 c...

Without a doubt, Goodman Games had some of the best GMs at GenCon running the event. If we hadn't advanced past the 1st round, this still would have been our favorite event from the con. I've been praising the event on the Enworld and Kenzer boards....I just hope that I don't shut my own group out o...

I can't promise anything (and I'm not even sure if Gen Con's registration system handles that), but I'll bring it up for discussion... Last year, I barely got a table (and I registered the first day). Your event is on the top of our GenCon event list though! I'm not wasting any time this year. I'm ...

Any thought on allowing first dibs on event tickets to the last year's top 2 teams?

Plans for Origins and GenCon 2005

Have any adventure concepts been tossed around for the next DCC
tournament at GenCon 2005?

Any plans for Origins? If no tournament plans are underway, someone
should consider running a couple tables with another DCC adventure.
I could guarantee one full table. :)

I think that would be cool!!! It wouldn't be to hard to put together with the D20 rules. Thanks. My original inclination was to set it to a campaign in which the characters had some sort of lineage to work with (some nobility or birthright). I like the idea of being able to apply it to other organi...

Strategy board game as an extension of a D&D campaign

My wife is a huge fan of strategy games (such as Settlers of Catan), and I've considered incorporating that into my weekly D&D games. I would like to see a board game that was an extension of the D&D campaign. Perhaps the characters are nobility, are part of an organization (army, thieves gu...

We didn't have Jason Little as a GM, but I can say that the GMs that we had were incredible. They made the tournament entertaining, engaging, and challenging. Great job guys!

The Crypt of the Devil Lich was easily our favorite event of the con. The module was superbly written, and the DMs were stellar! I'd like to offer a whole-hearted thanks to our DMs, which made the tournament so much fun! My personal favorite moment was when the monk, in a spurt of irrationality, too...
