Cool minis for level 0 characters

I own a couple of these: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... tid=580874

Perfect for 0 level characters entering their first dungeon with Torch, meat cleaver or a bit of dead fish.

Re: Doom of the Savage Kings - I missed the boat?

I personally don't see it as a problem. The more exposure DCC gets through these type of Facebook promos, the more peope will buy/play the game. This will allow the game to thrive & we'll get more adventures for many years to come. I'm a roleplayer and not a collector. Is the annoyance with peop...

Based on the lack of response, this probably means that the World tour is not applicable to the non-American fans. Such a shame. :(

I was a WFRP GM for 15+ years. I switched over to DCC last year & I didn't find any increase in difficulty level. DCC & WFRP are similar in a lot of ways.

Re: No Skyrim for me,instead more DCC RPG!

Well the dice are indeed not what I need and at $55 for a pound not THAT great a deal. So I canceled my order but who knows if it will go through in time. I will just return it if it does but will be out the $55 in the meantime so no real sets of dice till the mess is figured out. One again the dam...

Re: DCC World Tour... in Europe?

Shipping to Europe is very expensive. Even for small items. And sometimes quite slow and unpredictable, even for small shipments. The only way I can imagine a Europe World Tour support program working is if the Road Crew folks paid for shipping (which I don't want...not really fair to charge them) ...

Re: The Emerald Enchanter

My group loved this adventure as did I. 8 characters went into the dungeon & 8 came out. 2 Neutral clerics in the party ensured that of the 7 deaths that occurred, none bled out & all were saved in the nick of time by the healing powers of Amun Tor. I couldn't find the Caster Level for the E...

Re: Why did you buy (or not buy) Attack of the Frawgs?

I bought it but have not run it. I felt $5 was overpriced for what I got. The graphics were uninspiring as were the names of locations & characters. The adventure felt like it was written for a modern edition of DnD instead of for DCC. The only thing DCC about it was the DCC logo. Overall I was ...

Re: DELAYED ACTIONS in DCCRPG?

It's worked fine so far in my games. Although I haven't thought of a solution to a character who delays an action waiting to jump out on someone as they pass, or as that someone pokes their head through the door.

The tag line doesn't describe the recent DCC modules & does them a disservice. They are more intelligently written than the description alludes to.

System of a Down, Rammstein & Opeth are cool for combat.

I use atmospheric film soundtracks for creating creepy moods. Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Ninth Gate, Event Horizon & Last of the Mohicans to name a few"

Re: The spaces between - descriptions in published dungeons

Does anyone know of any online publications or resources which have descriptions of dungeon doors, building materials & corridors? Gary's 1st edition AD&D Dungeon Master's Guide has an abundance of tables which can be used to spice up otherwise boring sections of a dungeon. Sights, smells, ...

Re: The spaces between - descriptions in published dungeons

I'd also be interested in any thoughts on secret doors. What materials would be used to make them? Stone, wood, textile? Are they painted to look like stone or wood? Do they look, sound or feel different? If they are triggered, are they easy to reset? Is there also a mechanism on the other side of t...

Thanks for the links viruswithshoes. :) They'll be useful. I've got the Dungeoneer's Survival Guide for AD&D & Dungeoncraft for 3E. They should offer some ideas to fill in the missing areas. I wonder how the authors of the DCC modules envisage these areas. How do they see the doors in their...

The spaces between - descriptions in published dungeons

I'm very impressed by the published adventures for DCC. One thing I have noticed is a lack of detail when it comes to descriptions of the corridors between rooms, the building materials used and the doors/doorways that link the rooms. Does anyone know of any online publications or resources which ha...

Re: Doom of the Savage Kings as 0 level adventure?

I ran Sailors of the Starless Sea with 3 players & 24 level zeros. I gave each player an initial & each character a number. Then I wrote the initial & number on the base of the mini with a fineliner e.g. S1, S2, E1, E2 etc.. When the characters reached Level 1, the players gave the remai...
