Re: D20 Questions
Here's one I muse about from time to time from days past, in the era our favorite game hearkens back to - Who among the band has the most "your going to hell", "your guilty of summoning the devil", or some such experiences back in the day? Why, I recall to this day back in the 8...

Re: D20 Questions
For the record…… Joseph knows this already…..
I very much dislike "what's you favorite " questions, I know it takes more imagination to think of other types of questions but give it shot please
… not trying to be a dick here… but yes I know I'm a dick.

Re: Luck Check
So whenever it just says Luck Check, without a specified DC, it's equal or under your own luck? Even for a Roll Over check? rolling the body is a straight (roll under) luck check . Yes. It's helpful to keep your luck high in case of near death experiences. Related LUCK question, on page 19 of the r...

Re: D20 Questions
" what would you rather have bite you on the balls,…. a dog or an alligator?" Well, obviously a dog. You're on land and you're not going to drown. And it would be a lot faster to get to a hospital. This one doesn't count…too easy. Come on, Doug, we need some real questions here! I'd actua...

Re: D20 Questions
Question for Doug Kovacs: With all of the work you have done for DCC, you always sign your name and use that "Doug Symbol". What does it mean, if anything, and is it your own design or an ancient symbol that already existed, which you adopted for your own use? Since it's seen on all of yo...

Just because I happen to be reading things today I'll say "your welcome" and remind you, if you are not already aware, that in addition to these forums there is always a constant flow of ideas about DCC going on in the Google plus group : https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/10533996771...

Re: Pathfinder/3.5 Conversions
It's fresh on my mind because I just designed some monsters as a bonus for an upcoming DCC product, of which I won't mention much more right here … but I also immediately used them in one of my games. I think the thing to focus on, more so than 'is this thing too easy or too hard to fight?', is how ...

Re: Pathfinder/3.5 Conversions
I'm not familiar with pf, but see no reason to be familiar with the game for your purposes. I assume it's close enough to 3.5. Just make the DCC stats whatever you want them to be. If your concerned about giving a monster too many attacks, remember the action die in DCC reflects additional attacks. ...

Re: Alignment
Here is part of conversation we had on alignment a while back on the DCC Gplus group. It's a little jumbled and comes in in the middle of a conversation but I think it sums up my thoughts on Alignment at the moment. Prior to this point in the conversation I'm pretty sure everyone agreed that evil do...

A couple of my players got plucked out by Sezrekan their new patron. It was a little tougher for the ones that didn't accept him.

Re: Luck Check
If there is a DC (Difficulty Class) you roll and apply your modifier. Success is equal or above the DC.
If it just says luck check with no DC a roll equal or under your current Luck score is a success.

Re: Advice for a new Judge..NPC Wizard will kill them..
I never use the PC spell rules for NPC's. Magic for monsters (or NPCs) is different, and the way a wizard engages with it is only one possible way. Do what you want , but I find it goes against the mystery of magic for the players to understand spell burn as a rule of magic and therefore can start t...

For Metamorphosis Alpha:::
I'm not exactly sure where this is going to appear but it will appear somewhere... just completed. I realized I signed it twice for whatever distracted reason, but left it as a curiosity. That doesn't happen very often.

Re: When does Mercurial Magic "go off"?
Yeah we have done it Cojo's way too.
Recently I rolled, but didn't look up the effect for a character I was playing , then we reveled it in game. That's a fun way to do it.

Re: When does Mercurial Magic "go off"?
Spell needs to be a success.
There might be some conditions that could change that slightly but thats the general rule.

The hollow ones are similar to the cultists from the People of the Pit module.
You might look into that if you haven't yet, for a big easy block of pre-made adventure setting.

Re: Looking for a non-dungen crawl adventure
I'm not sure I would call them a "campaign" but Mike Curtis had been play testing an adventure that has three or four parts. He could speak more to that himself. It's still in the distance though, because Chained Coffin & Perils on the Purple Planet aren't complete yet. If you look aro...
