Re: To: Harley Stroh, Regarding: DCC RPG Beta Rules

Sorry to butt in here if you have already talked all this out but im on dial up as well and not even good dial up at that. I just started the download and walked away. On the second try it worked and I was fine. Just saying in case you tried once and found it wouldn't work. Keep at it! It worked for...

I think the Alignment system needs reworking. Not that Law/chaos and Neutral do not work, they do. The way they read though is confusing. On one hand Lawful is good and Chaos Evil but on the other sometimes chaos is good and lawful can be evil. Ok Pick one..... Just say up front that Law means rigid ...

Re: Scrap the XP table. One table to rule them all

I do not agree. One thing 3E did was make all the exp tables the same and try unsuccessfully to balance all the class's. DCC threw class balance out the window and so.....you have uneven tables.

I like that. not because its some throwback to yester year but because I like that design.

I'm about half way through the book but so far I am still impressed. I do have a few thoughts besides the black pages though. The Spell list seems skimpy even for a beta. I guess 2nd level spells wouldn't be too hard to make up or you guys might update the list later with some more but its hard to g...

As it stands, the game is really only portable to the Known World setting I was shocked at this. Frankly I do not see any of the worlds as being all that portable. The feel is all wrong! At least for me. This game BEGS for its own setting of my creation! A small one with swords and sorcery feel not...

Re: How has you attitude toward DCCRPG changed since June 7?

To be honest I heard it was coming out and thought "huh, another rpg" and never thought about it again till last night. I do love the entire Dungeon Crawl series but another RPG is not what I need. Then last night I saw that it could be downloaded and started it up on my dial up then went to bed. Thi...

I just finished printing them out and have only skimmed them so far. Love what I have seen! However...(isn't there always a however!) the full page of blackness with only a few words like "This Chapter is Equipment" or some such thing cost me a TON of ink. They are places at the start of most chapte...
