Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: The Sunken City Starting Adventur

Thanks Ragstorm and Netherboy... wait, that's not right, I think I'm getting tired. ;) I really do appreciate the wonderful support I've received from everyone here. We spent over 2 days as the hottest item at RPGNow, and I'm sure most of that is because of you fine folks. It's really got me excited...

Re: Setting Specific Occupations for the 0-Level Party Gener

how far are you willing to go with this? Alternate art or background?
I think we'll start with the updated lists and see how things progress. :)

Setting Specific Occupations for the 0-Level Party Generator

Judges, how would you like to have the 0-level Party Generator create characters based on an occupation list specific to your campaign/setting? As one of the free downloads for Perils of the Sunken City I needed to create a sheet of Opossuman character sheets - and I finally dug into the code to all...

Re: Layered DCC Character Sheet

Cool beans. It looked to work well as I played around with it.

I agree linking the 0-level layers together would be a good idea - I like "funnel fodder". :)

Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: The Sunken City Starting Adventur

For future releases, is there any chance of there being a Print+PDF bundle? Yes, there will definitely be Print+PDF bundles! (And thanks for the kind words.) Also, I'd love to hear from any and all who run the adventure about their experiences/observations! (Probably best through the Purple Sorcere...

Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: The Sunken City Starting Adventur

It's a 0-level funnel adventure from the ground up, with I think, a "funnel adventure" sensibilities. I also believe it could be fun for a smaller party of 1st level characters, so that's why we added the 0-1 designation. Also, judges are encouraged to adjust the encounters to challenge the size and...

Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: The Sunken City Starting Adventur

I picked up a copy. Was only able to briefly look through it so far, but it is done in a professional manner. From what I read it looks to be fun. I am looking forward to reading it thoroughly. I have been impressed with everything you have been doing on your website and it looks it is more of the ...

Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: The Sunken City Starting Adventur

...downloadable version of the 0-level generator? Hmmm, the PDF generation in the program uses PHP (a web server technology) to create the PDFs, so it would require some serious arm-bending to create a "portable" version. I agree it would be very cool, so I'll keep my eyes open for alternative path...

Re: Purple Sorcerer Games: The Sunken City Starting Adventur

Perils of the Sunken City will initially by available as a PDF through RPGNow, with a print-on-demand softcover option to follow soon after.

Depending on response we'll look into other print options for future releases. :)

Re: Movie Paraphrase

Yeah, it never occurred to me that EVERYONE wouldn't get the Spinal Tap reference. I think I'm getting old. ;)

(But I'm positive if Nigel Tufnel was a gamer, he'd play DCCRPG. Maybe I'll create an adventure built around a miscast shrinking spell and a miniature Stonehenge...)

Re: 0-level character generator?

The 0-level Character Generator has been updated! It now uses the final occupations, weapons, luck, and trade goods charts. It also incorporates the Birth Augur mods into the character sheet, and adds any non-human traits that effect 0-level characters. The updated link is: http://purplesorcerer.com...

Yep, as soon as I can get around to it I'll update things with the final rules. (Working hard to get the Sunken City 0-level adventures ready for the 'print launch'...) The link will also be updating to the Purple Sorcerer Games site to coincide with the new modules. :) http://purplesorcerer.com/cre...
