Re: DCC #35: Gazetteer of the Known Realms

a member of my group has combined all the PDF maps into one image. Would Joe be interested in it, to add to the PDF Bundle? Treebore! Wow, I didn't know you visit these boards. You are a major player on the Troll Lord boards. Happy to see you. If Mr. Goodman hasn't responded within a week, I'd sugg...

Re: DCC#53: Sellswords Of Punjar

Is there still a link to the interactive Punjar map that was put up? I believe it was done in Spanish. All I can find right now is the full page map link.

Online "Try Out" game using Roll 20...

For the Saturdays in October a friend of mine and I want to get a Saturday game of DCC going, and would like a few more players. So if you've been wanting to actually play and Saturday evenings can work for you, here is your chance! East coasters the start time will likely be 9 PM, so for us West Co...

I pretty much ordered this "just because", and just looking through it, the artwork alone makes me glad I bought this, so if I end up liking the RPG? Fantastic!

Re: Dave Trampier as Art Inspiration !?!

Hi all, P. 4 lists some awesome and deserving artists as inspirations for the book -- with one notable exception. That you understand and appreciate certain visual hieroglyphs derived from denizens of the higher planes whose deific identities among mortals are rendered, in the Common tongue, Otus, ...

Re: Dice...

The "dice ire" is nothing for me to understand in comparison to the people who post "If its D100 based, its crap." That's something I will never understand. They don't care what RPG it is, if its based on D100 its crap and they will have nothing to do with it.

Re: Dice...

What would be the best way to simulate the D14? You mentioned threads talking about this, which forum are they in? Treebore, the dice generation methods pop up in several threads throughout these boards, so I've created a sticky thread addressing this very question: http://www.goodman-games.com/for...

Re: Dice...

No problem Treebore - just use the "normal" dice to simulate the funky ones. Roll a d8 and drop the 8 to simulate d7, etc. I often run con games for players who don't own Zocchi dice and we make it work. Give that a try and let me know what you think of the rules in actual play. :) What w...

Re: the Artwork - keep it Black, White and BOLD!

I agree that the B/W art is the shiznet. Definitely keep it, as it is one of the bigger draws to this RPG for me. I may very well be buying this book just because the art is so cool, and very possibly never play the RPG. Wouldn't be the first time I've done that, and probably wouldn't be the last ti...

Re: Dice...

Thanks for the reply Joe. I'm definitely not writing this RPG off just yet. One thing to consider. I do game with my kids. They now age in range of 15 to 19. They each strongly prefer having their own set of dice, and guess who buys them? Me. So if I do get my family into this RPG I would have to bu...

Re: Dice...

Well, I am definitely not a min/maxer or a "daisy". I play/run Hackmaster, my "kills" in that game for my last 7 month run was 12 PC's. I just don't want to have to go out and buy a bunch of over priced dice "just because". I can see why you need to roll just a single d...

Dice...

Do you explain why you have to have the special dice somewhere? Because unless you give me solid mathematical reasons why no other "standard" dice types can do the job all your odd ball dice are going to be a HUGE turn off with me. I've seen others post similar thoughts in discussions of e...

Re: Supporting multiple systems within the DCC's

It seems from the various posts that the same perspectives exist more broadly. Frankly, this makes me more hesitant to try multi-system support within the same product line. For every customer who appreciates the adaptability, someone else will interpret it as a dilution of the native ruleset. Well...

Re: Castle Whiterock PDF??

Well, originally they quit selling all 3E PDF's as of January 1st due to the GSL. I don't know if Joe is going to change that with the changes in the latest GSL.

Its a shame you missed the December sale, the PDF was $5 or $10 (US).

Blackdirge, that was you? I either didn't catch your screen name or connect your real name to your screen name. I certainly didn't read your name tag. Glad to have at least briefly met you!

Re: Level Up #2

Unfortunately they were sold out of this by the time I remembered to go to the booth at Gen Con, but I was OK with that. I knew my LGS would have it since I have it on my "pull list" with him. I walked in to get it, and nothing. :x
