I would be all over this.
Heck, I develop mobile apps, but when I'm going all retro, I want the funky dice.

Re: The pre-order shipments have left the printer!
DCC has arrived. It got a little dinged up on the ride here but not too, too bad. I was spooked at first by being able to see the book through a gap in the box.
Other than that, it's HUGE!

The book has landed all around me so I'm hoping that it arrives today or tomorrow in time for the weekend. *crosses fingers*

On our third session the funnel caught up to the PCs.

Late to the party. Last night I finally ran DCC.
I finally got around to playing Goodman Games Dungeon Crawl Classics last night and I gotta say that it was fun. The first time I read the game I was turned off by some things. No, not the weird dice. I love that idea. I was instead turned off by the game's 3rd Edition-isms so I tucked it into my ha...

Re: how many rounds before it get's dull?
I'm not sure how this will affect ERP, since it uses totals instead of trying to beat a target number? I was thinking about this too. Statistically it would be the same thing as far as the die rolling. Bigger dice will consistently give more potential harm but smaller dice will explode slightly mor...

Re: how many rounds before it get's dull?
Perhaps instead of the basic tier, it should be on the specialization or even mastery tier. This would: - add even more weight to specializations (wow, he is really good with swords!) - keep the exploding dice away from most minions and unskilled NPCs. Only the really skilled creatures would have t...

Re: how many rounds before it get's dull?
This is something that I've been pondering recently. I was afraid that this was going to be a problem with high level ERP games and is the reason why I wrote up the high powered Samurai who was pitted against the mountain troll. Many of my fears were allayed by the actual game experience but somehow...

Re: Thank you
Hey I haven't actually gotten a chance to sit down, and play the game yet, but I was curious about it. I'm a D&D player mostly and this just seemed like a nice change of pace with some serious potential for personalization. So I was just curious how it plays from the perspective of other gamers...

Re: Toning things back a bit?
Just got done running a high tension combat between a highly skilled samurai and a mountain troll. It was fun hearing the narration of the samurai slicing away with his katana and striking the troll behind the knee to knock it prone. He ran up the troll a la anime for the finishing move. It was inc...

A guideline would be fantastic. I'd be able to sit down and churn out conversions. Of course they'd need tweaked but still, it would be a nice to have.

Nice. I like it. Takes the concept to the extreme and simplifies things even more which is almost always a good thing.

Re: ERP Character Sheet
I like the look of this. I like having the Abilities on the front page--it emphasizes them. One thing I might suggest would be to include spaces to record the actual value of each of the Defense Pools. Oh, and maybe a little bit more room in the Armor section with space for the armor name and Die R...

Theoretical Maximums for the Defense Pools?
A question for those with more experience with the system, what are the theoretical "practical" maximums for each of the defense pools; active, and passive?

Well, the combat sheet expanded to a full blown alternate character sheet.

ERP Combat Sheet
Hi all, I like to create my own sheet for games that I run. Here is the ERP combat sheet that I put together this afternoon. http://www.mediafire.com/?4m00z9ctzzy Edit: I grouped the Active Defense pools according to melee/ranged. And added harm bonus, initiative bonus, and max split to the weapon s...

More Monsters, Please.
IMO, what ERP needs is a monster manual. While I absolutely love toolkit type games I've been so short on spare time that it's tough to come up with the adventure and the creatures for when I do get to run a game. Something like the Castles & Crusades Monsters & Treasure book would be absolu...
