Working on a setting
On a lighter note since MCC is currently under the knife as it were, I thought I'd describe some ideas for the setting I am working on. It is gonna be a combination of MCC and DCC, and it straddles the line between Appendix N and more modern sources. I'm taking some base ideas from the Degenesis gam...

MCC PSH classes vs. DCC human classes
I'm sure a playtester or someone with experience would know, but would the human classes in MCC stand alongside the DCC equivalents? Like, would a Sentinel be as capable as a Fighter, or a Rover as a Thief?

Re: Errata
I would very strongly consider an additional table, one with the attributes listed, versus what they affect. Get that table PERFECT. Then compare it to the rules text and make sure that what you wanted rules-wise is what you wrote down. It needs to be issued as errata for DCC RPG, too because it wo...

Re: Patron Program help
Oh, duh... completely misread your question. You're asking about the actual wetware programs/spells granted by the patron. I'm assuming the spells work the same way they work for Wizards in DCC, since the spell check results are quite similar. A shaman should be able to run a wetware program as man...

Patron Program help
So this isn't really a problem in MCC, but DCC as well. So when your Patron gives you a Patron Spell, does the Patron spell have a limited number of uses a day? I know Invoke Patron does, but what about the normal ones? I know it says 'can cast a Patron Spell once a day instead of Invoke Patron' but...

Re: Errata
@smarttman I would split up 2 into two parts: 2.1: Do shaman's get wetware programs other than through the patron (Jim addressed this on the Facebook page; apparently in playtesting Shamans were limited to patrons by default.) I think this could be addressed by adding a little bit in the 'optional ...

Re: Errata
I see three big 'rules gaps' right now that aren't just typos or things omitted from DCC. They are 1. Teleportation is missing 2. The amount of programs, how you get them, and how they are cast isn't addressed 3. No way to determine monster crits Obviously those aren't the only ones, but those are t...

Re: Other equipment?
I think that because the setting is so far future, regular combustion-based guns became obsolete. I think Gamma World only had a slug thrower or two? The most traditional 'gun' is probably the Gauzer. That said, it wouldn't be hard to add your own artifacts in there too

Rejoice, for the Dark Master is good. I forgot about proofing rounds, which I do all the dang time -_-
It's been about a week, maybe less since the PDF dropped. I think people need to take a breather

Re: Errata
Interesting thing I noticed: in MCC, it lists a Maximum Number of Wetware Programs in the attribute list. DCC doesn't have Maximum Number of Spells, just additional spells known. I think Shamans have a standard Number of Programs of four: which would fill out your programs if you rolled a 32+ on Pat...

Re: Errata
I'm not sure if this is errata or an intentional exclusion, honestly. The book never mentions two-weapon fighting at all, unlike lots of this errata which is contradictory omissions/informationKJ Obrien wrote:The rules and table for Dual Wielding are missing.

Re: Game feels incomplete
When DCC came out they assembled an errata document released a month or two after the game dropped, so I assume that'll happen as well for MCC. Jim said as much. The game is great, but it's just kind of discouraging to an extent. In hindsight I'm glad I didn't do a print backing, I'll wait til the s...

Re: Game feels incomplete
It is a bummer, but MCC needed at least a minimum another full editing pass. The errors and omissions are both obvious and contradictory - some that should have been seen on an initial pass. The game is cool for sure, but it feels rushed at times

Page 256 refers to sub-shuttle diagram. This diagram is missing. Page 13, Saving Throws: "and compares the result to a target number (DC). If the result is equal to or greater than the DC, the save is made." Nowhere in the book are DCs or how to set them defined. ALL Mutation Check tables...

Teleportation Mutation Fan Version
Thought I'd put this here for feedback. Since the Teleportation Mutation is missing from the core rules, I took it upon myself to make a version in about 10 minutes. Any feedback on it would be great, thanks! Teleport Type: Active Range: Variable Duration: Instant Save: None General: The mutant can ...

Pg. 142, Table 6-2 it says Mainframes of Alignment, should be Mainframe of Order. Same issue on the Character and Creature Codex
