Re: Experience points and luck
I've awarded XP based on what actually happens. Never mind relative/comparative power levels or what could have happened... Did Asmodius go down like a chump? That's chump experience. Was Hacksaw, the single HD mook taking down two party members before they managed to bring him down? That's probabl...

Where are the Magic Wand & Rod spells?
Perhaps I am being thicker than a Whale omelette here but I can't find either of these spells in my 3rd Ed rule books.....

Re: DCC Halfling only class that's worse than Basic D&D sour
No I don't agree; I find all of the other classes engaging but not the Halfling which is my point. I enjoy all of the other characters and can make a unique character out of all of them except the Halfling.

Re: DCC Halfling only class that's worse than Basic D&D sour
I don't agree: For example An elf with good intelligence but poor physical attributes can chose to model themself as an Elvish version of a Wizard, light armour, immediate adventure type spells and so on. An Elf with decent physical attributes and a lesser intelligence can favour Combat, wearing hea...

Re: DCC Halfling only class that's worse than Basic D&D sour
The class is weak but that's not the biggest issue.
The biggest issue is that there is little variety; all Halflings are essentially the same and the class forces them to be played essentially the same.

Re: Why is Cthulhu Neutral?
If a tidal wave or famine kill thousands of people does that make mother nature, the druids or the nature god in question chaotic? If a pack of wolves or a bear kill a family of frontier folk does that make wolves and bears chaotic? If I dig up an ant’s nest in my garden am I chaotic? Cthulhu is no ...

There is certainly at least one of the online facilities that specifically supports DCC. Can't recall which but I would find that and start there.

I agree but most players on the forum don't appear to.phamdinhnam02 wrote:Halflings seem weak compared to other classes. Anybody have any experience with them in higher level play tests?
It's largely irrelevant anyway because one doesn't get to choose to be a halfling one is or one isn't

Re: Gold foil first edition version of DCCRPG--what's it wor
There was a Wizard cover copy on Amazon UK recently for a crisp $1000 but I doubt anyone paid that for it. It ought to be worth a few bob but I guess with the reprint coming up most players with the money to buy another rule book will be blowing it on a new one so that may hold down the current value.

Re: using luck for impossible results
So a weird situation came up. A monster grappled a thief and rolled a natural 20 on the grapple check. The thief also rolled a natural 20, but the monster's bonus is higher. Can the thief spend Luck to boost his grapple to a level impossible for him? Similarly, a thief backstabs with a dagger and d...

No sign of a late 2015 Kickstarter and with the 4th printing underway this may be delayed further I know. it's disappointing but the clear cut pure human bias at Goodman games has struck again!
