Maybe Goodman Games will write their DCC for the upcoming HackMaster 5th edition system once it is released.

I have both. I like Moldvay/ Cook because it's a more pared-down version of the game. I've mainly played it via chat & PbP, so less is more. Also, most of the "extras" in the RC (skills, new classes, etc.) are not used in my games. NTM I've rarely had a game get beyond mid-level, so t...

Ditto with bighara.... Which is why everyone should be playing AD&D First Edition! :D cheers, jason 1e was my game for a long time. We went from the blue book (Holmes Basic) into 1e when it was released, and that was D&D to me for 20 years. Nowadays, I actually like Moldvay/Cook Basic &...

Re: Travel Time?

What are some of the travel distances between major cities. If I knew this I could do the rest. I know that Archbridge is 3 weeks from Silverton, and Soulbridge is 2 weeks from silverton. How far is Kassantia from Silverton, or Archbridge ( if you need a larger city as a starting point)? Sorry for ...

Jason, The Theocracy of the Lance would be a good choice. You could rule that a new bishop came to power and declared all non-divine magics an affront to the magics handed out by the Gods... //H Perfect! Thanks Harley. EDIT: Actually, I've decided that the Black Watch harasses magic-users and the l...

Hello guys,

I don't have my materials with me at work today, but can you tell me if there is a nation, realm, etc. that outlaws magic-users? Maybe a theocracy where wizards are proscribed?

Re: Known Realms Calendar

I created this calendar based on the names of the Gods listed in the GM's Guide. The Criestine Calendar follows: 1.Centivas 2.Solethas 3.Wyshalaras 4.Fenwaras 5.Ormazdas 6.Daentharas 7.Delvyras 8.ldaviras 9.Madrahs 10.Denithas 11.Valdrethas 12.Variagas I will be working on days of the week next. I'...

Jason, There isn't at this time a god of wealth, exactly, but there's plenty who could fill the void. Consider: Poderon , as you already have thought of, since he is a god of commerce. But he's more about business and mutual benefit than about the greedy side of things. Not really a god for misers....

Hello guys,

One of my players wants to play a cleric of a god of wealth. So far I guess Poderon is the best fit.

Are there any "as yet to be seen" gods or goddesses that are of wealth?

It makes me happy to see all the AD&D campaigns you have going tacojohn4547! Very cool. I would love to find enough players to run an OD&D campaign. I’m jealous. As for myself, about a month ago I dropped my long-running D&D v.3.5 campaign. As the player's characters starting reaching th...

My players LOVED the map. The first thing one of them suggested was "HeY! Rheall could go in the middle of this ocean!". Rheall is my campaign Island, which is roughly 1300 miles x 1300 miles. He was pointing at the Empyreon Ocean. That's really cool. I plan to do the same thing. My homeb...

OK, I've been motivated to laminate and hang mine now. Of course I've been waiting until the winter fully sets in and I can convert my upstairs garage area to a gaming room. Just got the 18,500 BTU window AC unit yesterday. Yeah, I decided to get my maps laminated too. However, Kinkos/FedEx charged...

what is the scale on the maps. I know that Archbridge is 3 weeks for Silverton, so I have been using that as a referance. What are the miles to the inch? Also, are the adventure locations set in stone? Some of the adventures I would like to run are very far away from where the characters are now. T...

Ren, freakin' awesome man!

I just got back from my very FLGS and I now own the boxed set. The first thing I did was fold all the maps out across my living room floor.

Damn these maps are fantastic. I didn't expect this.

Now I will lock myself away for the weekend and read...

Not sure. Several calendars are mentioned in various places. The Criestine Calendar is mentioned, but the official timeline uses the Empyrean Calendar. I'm not sure if these are one and the same, though. Several other calendars are mentioned as well but none are fully detailed. Oh I see. Well, that...

Mine said they would have it on Tuesday. Dagnabbit! My LGS didn't have my boxed-set this past Friday. I'm hoping it arrives this week. Not today, but look for another one this Sunday... I'm not sure if this is the case for everyone, but I can't open the latest PDF preview. I'm starting a new AD&D campaign with the boxed set. Wow. That is SO cool. We need to get you to come to GenCon and run some 1e games. Same with you, Ren, with C&C. Very cool. //H You know, I've been gaming since I was 9 years old and I'm almost 36 now and I've never once been to a gaming c...
