Re: Duplicator Slime
Hey I forgot to post this here... The Absorber Imp with DCC monster stats and familiar rules. It is not known whether their name originally stemmed from their skin's property of absorbing all light or from their more fantastic ability to absorb pure magic power. These imps can absorb any magical spe...

Re: The Snyggdra
you probably already know this (but just in case you do not), the DCC rulebook has some details about what happens when different abilities are reduced to zero (pg 96, Other Combat Rules, Ability Loss). Thanks for pointing this out! I didn't remember this exactly. Looks like the RAW don't kill you ...

Re: Sand Serpent
Probably not a bad way to handle it, but the mechanics of this creature are complicated enough as it is, so I don't wanna add another opposed roll on top of it. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

The Snyggdra
Here's my attempt at designing a hydra-like creature that's a good boss monster for a lower level party. What do you think? Is this an okay foe for level 2 characters? Is 5 hp per head too easy? I'm debating if I should make it impossible to cut off a head with a blunt weapon, but currently I'm not ...

Re: Sand Serpent
Thanks for the suggestions! It seems like the swallowed thing would happen more frequent than the crit. That's intentional. That's just what giant sand snakes do, gobble you up in one bite. Normally the extra effects of snake attacks are poison or constriction, here it's swallowing. allow the PCs a ...

*shakes fist in Harley's general direction*
It's not that big of a problem I think, since mine are more giant sand snake than worm. Of course now I'm curious how Harley's creatures compare. Thanks for the info and the sneak peek, though!

Sand Serpent
This is an encounter in a scenario I'm working on, featuring a sand serpent (think dune sandworm, albeit a bit smaller) in a desert area the PCs have to cross. Do you think this is a reasonable challenge for a group of about six 2nd level characters? What do you think of the special rules? I'm grate...

Re: Character funnel survived, now what?
In your situation, with only 2 players, I think it's a good idea to play another funnel to get the party to a good size if you want to use the official modules.

Here's a new monster for your game

This should hopefully scale well with different character levels. Adjust the hit dice and the slime's special ability should take care of the rest.

Cult of the Skin Demon
Here's a small scenario for beginning characters that I've cooked up. It's system-agnostic, but should be easy to use as a DCC funnel with little preparation. Download the pdf for free directly from my dropbox, let me know what you think, run it, share it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1284165...
