Re: New dice Kickstarter from Impact! Miniatures

Backed it earlier this week. I'm not sure what games use the other dice, but when they come out, I'll be ready. Freeblades uses a dice chain in their game. I've had other companies tell me that once the chain is available they would look into using it for the rules design. I am really hoping this 4...

Re: Compatible with Dungeon Crawl Classics dice sets KickSta

I will be jumping in on this -- but still haven't yet! :? I suppose there's no chance that an extra pick would at some point be added to the Wanderer level, eh? I have no problem paying for an extra pick on the Wanderer level, but'd feel stupid if then an extra pick was added... I have no pl...

Purple dice sets compatible with DCC are now available in the KickStarter and we are very close to unlocking free dice to many of the reward levels. http://www.impactminiatures.net/minis/pics/SpecDicePurple.jpg While this is not a compatible with DCC set it shows what the dice look like that we just...

Re: Compatible with Dungeon Crawl Classics dice sets KickSta

At this time I do not have a mixed color set. My experience with those is that people that normally want mixed color want to pick specific colors for each certain die so it is best to allow them to do so.

White dice sets are now available.

At $20k we are giving out extra free dice to several of the reward levels ... the higher the reward level ... the more free dice we are giving out.

At $21k, we will unlock purple dice sets

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

Yes we have enough money that we will definitely be making the sets. Right now we are trying to see how many different colors we'll be able to make them in so every pledge is a big help to maximizing the options to choose from.

Halfway there and we haven't even spent any Luck or invoked our patrons! Looking good, Tom! So far so good. Happy with the 1st day results. But the first 2 days are always the honeymoon period. Day 4 (ie Monday) is the real benchmark for how it is going. If you are still getting good results on day...

Re: Compatible with Dungeon Crawl Classics dice sets KickSta

I'm not going to take part in this because I've been burnt by non-delivery of 2 other DCC projects (Appendix N Adventures & Angels, Daemons, and Beings Between). I no longer trust companies to deliver on their promises after several bad experiences with crowdfunded products. Sorry to hear that ...

Compatible with Dungeon Crawl Classics dice sets KickStarter

Impact! is now running a KickStarter to fund making the dice we need to make a 14 dice set compatible with Dungeon Crawl Classics. We are also funding creating a D9 and a D11. THE STORY OF THE PROJECT: While at Gen Con in 2013, we had the following available in our booth: a Chessex D3, Impact!'s D5,...

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

I don't mind the weird shapes so much, but has anyone thought of using the regular polyhedrons to make some of these? The d2 and d3 are obvious (a d6 numbered 1-2 three times or 1-3 twice), but a d5 as a d20 numbered 1-5 four times, a d7 as a d8 with one blank face, etc.? I will be in on this Kicks...

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

We always try to listen to customer requests. The biggest hurdle with this request is that just the steel moulds for 1-5 D10s and 1-7 D14s will cost me $3,400 more to make then D5 and D7s. So just want to be clear that if we don't make them it was purely financial. Now on to trying to help the custo...

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

1 other small thing, but important thing. The project can be fully funded; but there is no guarantee that anything will be produced, released or sent to you. That is definitely true. However we have successful run 11 KickStarters with everyone getting their products ... so we definitely are not a h...

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

Cool. Post pictures when you have some! Here is a picture of the prototypes of other new dice we were working on. We mass produced the D7, D14, D18 and D22 with financing from our last Dice KickStarter. The D5 mass production is part of the DCC set KickStarter we are working on for January. The D18...

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

I'm curious...do you make the d3 with Roman numerals so you can quickly discern it from a regular d6? Correct. Rolls well and immediately identifable even in a color matched set as the D3 compared to the D6 which is the same size but will be numbered 1 to 6. I have the prototype in already for the ...

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

Cool. I'll jump in on this. I have never actually participated in any kickstarter project (but I heard the expression a lot). How does that work? You pledge money and if enough pledges are made, the project goes through? How do you ensure that the pledgers actually go through with sending the money...

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

Since there is someone who makes dice on the thread, how do we know the spherical dice roll near true? I have the weird triangular d5 and it seems to be unreliable. Results are radically different depending on the surface on which I roll it. I feel as though the d10 and d14 numbered twice serve wel...

If the next KickStarter funds ... these 4 will match the rest of the dice as will the D5 and D7.

Re: Matching DCC-appropriate Dice Sets Possible!

Awesome news! I really hope that the d5 is a d10 numbered 1-5 twice, and the d7 is a d14 numbered 1-7 twice. Cthulhudarren ... sorry to say no to this hope. But we will be producing fair, balanced, equal sized faced spherical based D5 and D7 for the set. We already sell the D7 in our store. @Gameog...
