VENGER CON III: Revenge of the OSR
This is the 3rd annual VENGER CON gaming convention held July 2024 in Madison, WI. This will be bigger, better, and more badass than the previous two. VENGER CON isn't like any other RPG con you've ever been to. It's small, elite, quiet, chill, old-school, non-political, and focused on traditional a...

Re: Advanced Dungeon Crawl Classics?
I love DCC but it's turned out to be a little too barebones and basic for my group. We'd absolutely love to see DCC's incredible foundation built upon with more fleshed out advanced rules. Has anyone heard of any ideas or plans for an official Advanced DCC supplement or rulebook? Sounds a bit like ...

You've never seen a player's handbook like this
I just released Player's Handbook like a Fucking Boss . Just a 32 page PDF, but it's jam-packed with game-able goodies. Perfect for any system derived from D&D (like Dungeon Crawl Classics). Here's the link: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/229503/Players-Handbook-Like-A-Fucking-Boss Thanks f...

d100 artifact table
This is a home-brewed random table I came up with for post-apocalyptic games - especially ones that can go a little eldritch, gonzo, and sleazy:

How to write awesome adventures!
I decided to dive into the subject myself with my latest book Adventure Writing Like A Fucking Boss . It's a super-short and to-the-point PDF for those who want to write and run their own epic scenarios... and maybe get them published: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/215678/Adventure-Writing-Lik...

I've given Game Masters boss-like skills, and now my attention is focused on the players. Get the most out of your games with advice like... don't play a bard! Just kidding, but seriously, don't play one. Play your Character like a F'ing Boss is available: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/208142/...

d30 random table for Crimson Deth Wyzard sorcery!
Even though 50 Shades of Vorpal was the initial inspiration, I think this would go very well with Dungeon Crawl Classics. It's got that highly-random, irreverent, gonzo, die-at-any-time vibe.

Death Race: Fury Road
I thought this would go well with Mutant Crawl Classics... This started as a small community project and grew into a really strange collection of random tables inspired by the Mad Max movies and that Thundarr the Barbarian episode, "Challenge of the Wizards." The main table is a d100 colle...

Here's a d20 random table for generating peasant traits - because sometimes being zero-level just isn't crappy enough (literally):

Re: Post-funnel random table - "Not Dead... Yet!"
Indeed! And players who already have an inkling about who their character is can play around with this shiny new facet to his or her personality. Also, Judges can use this information as a spring-board for future encounters and adventures.

Post-funnel random table - "Not Dead... Yet!"
Initiation is a bitch, ain't she? I created this d16 random table with DCC and MCC in mind. It will hopefully give your funnel scenarios just a teensy bit of fun at the end. As stated at the end of the post, anyone can use/abuse this table. I give it freely to the gaming community! http://www.dracon...

I thought, wouldn't it be cool to have a giant map in that old school blue/white style, like the inside covers of late 70's and early 80's (A)D&D modules? So, I'm having Glynn Seal of Monkeyblood Design custom-make a mega-dungeon for me. The project is being funded via Kickstarter. It's called T...

For those interested, I'm following Alpha Blue up with its sister-volume: Girls Gone Rogue . The Kickstarter campaign has about two weeks left to go. This in more with Metamorphosis Alpha than Dungeon Crawl Classics, so I'll put it here. Alpha Blue is a space station brothel with a classic, old school sci-fi vibe. It's not only a rules light RPG focusing on action-adventure space opera pulp, but a campaign setting full of random tables and scenar...

Nice. Just found out about this and already can't wait. DCC lends itself to this sort of game, but it really needed something else to push it all the way through. Sounds like Mutant Crawl Classics is just what the doctor ordered.

PoD prices re: Tales From the Fallen Empire
Now that this book has been out for awhile, I think it's time to adjust the prices of the b/w soft and hardcover on DriveThruRPG. $30 and $40, respectively, seems a bit over the line. If those prices were adjusted to, say, $25 and $30, I'd be all-in! Any thoughts, Chapter 13 Press? Speaking as an RP...

I just read the following review posted yesterday by Taylor Frank on DriveThruRPG for The Islands of Purple-Haunted Putrescence . I, too, think it's ideally suited to DCC... In the sea of supplements, modules, campaign settings, and other old-school role-playing products available to the discerning ...
