Re: Almuric Adventures

One of the best things I liked about DCC when I first picked it up is how easy it is to make the game work with weird science fictions/fantasy hybrid type settings without spoiling it as a fantasy game. I'll keep an eye out for updates from you.

Five Years Later...

This is not really a house rule, or even a rule itself. But rather a time-skip I came up with as a means to add a little realism to my game. In Dungeon Crawl Classic, going from level 0 to level 1 is quite a leap. It's quite outlandish for a character to gain skills associated with his class only be...

How much treasure?

I'm attempting to figure out how much treasure I should include for an adventure. I Understand that massive hordes of gold and magic items are not a thing in DCC, but I want to make sure that my players are being rewarded adequately with the right amount of coin and baubles.

Re: How do you define min/max?

I play with a notorious min-maxer. He even admits to it as well. Basically his mindset is that numbers need to be as high as possible and failures as minimal as possible. For example, I'm running a 15 point buy pathfinder game, he wants 25 points because he's convinced that in order to "not suc...

Re: A thought or two on Race & Class

There's the argument that we're projecting too much of our humanity onto elves, dwarves and such. The argument I think sums it up is that humans are humans, we can act within broad ranges of capacity and skill. And in a fantasy setting our strengths are our tenacity to do so much in our short lives ...

Re: How about some alternate classes

I just submitted a thread that's waiting for moderator approval for my attempt at a 1e style bard as well as some info about a deity for druids and bards I'm going to come up with as well. My version of the Bard goes back to 1st edition where Bards didn't actually have any mechanical skills regardin...

Hello, I'm Gin and I'd like to share my bard idea

This is my first post here and I'd like to say that I'm a huge fan of DCC One thing I think is missing though is a proper bard class. Looking around and I see that other people have taken a swing at making their own version, but I was looking for something much more AD&D 1e inspired. So I've com...
