Have you checked out DYSON"S DELVE ? It's free. It's fun. I've run it with Labyrinth Lord, Tunnels & Trolls, Treasure Awaits!, and Legendary Lives.

Although the rules are solid gold, even I find the size of the book a little much. The only other RPG of that size I own is Blue Book Talislanta. Not sure I'm too keen on the BECMI mode.
