Gnome Class by me!
So I have created my own gnome class and have decided to share it with you guys. Its currently untested so keep that in mind, but I feel its worth posting I want to see what people think. So here's Gnome Gnome Hit Points: 1d5 per level. Weapon Training: Gnomes don't like to fight, but if forced to t...

Re: Mercurial Magic - Who uses it?
Every time, all the time. They make wizards different from each other even when they have the same spells, plus they are awesome even when bad. Magic is supposed to be crazy.

Re: Player vs Character XP
Howdy all, first post here. I wanted to share a house rule that I'm using regarding XP. I'm giving the XP to the players rather than to their characters . What's the difference? Well, if Blackleaf the Thief dies then Marcy doesn't need to worry, she can come back into the game with a new character ...

Re: Deed Die rolls
Actually, we've always played you roll anew for each attack, including withdrawal attacks, but you can only do one deed per round. But now I'm curious, is it supposed to be the other way? Can we get some Goodman confirmation on this?

Re: Race separate from Class
I see what you mean about the demi-humans being fantastic and rare, but there's a 30% chance any character is a demi-human. I think I'll have players roll again after getting a demi-human class to see if they are a human of that class, like a 50% chance after the roll. This way they'd be even more r...

Yeah, guess I did forget about spell burn, recently saw what happens when you get a 31 on growth spell and you're outdoors. Spell burn can defeat anything, once every two weeks.

Re: Do Charm Spells Work on Undead or No?
In my game, yeah, it would only work on an intelligent undead. The reason it doesn't work on zombies is they are brainless, much like skeletons. Somewhere there's probably an undead that could be affected but it'll most likely make its save, so all in all I'd say this probably won't come up much. Re...

Re: Streamlined adventurer spending
Well its not meant to skip the fun of what your characters do while spending, just the parts where they ask "i wanna buy drinks for these people how much will that cost me?" then they erase small amounts of coin repeatedly. Instead you can skip the erasing and go to the drinking, worry abo...

Streamlined adventurer spending
So one of my favorite RPG rules goes back to classic DnD, but it works great here. Instead of having every character keep track of mundane purchases (beer, food, inns, prostitutes, parties, impressing the opposite sex etc.), at the end of every town stay have all the PC's owe one gold per level. Thi...
