Re: CRAWL! No.4
BTW, there is a slight misplacement in the dungeon map: characters should be able to access any area of the labyrinth coming down from the stairs that leads to G4. Simply move the stairs one square to the left. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t138/sheriffharry/laby-glitch.jpg Sorry about that fol...

As for that dragon, if you like it it's 95% Dak's fault! (I only did the stats..)Raven_Crowking wrote:The module turned out very well....and may be the first use of a dragon in a published DCC adventure!)

Re: Connecting adventures
I am using a relatively simple scheme to connect adventures: getting from smaller to bigger towns - The party starts in a smallish village in Sailors.. - Then they level up and want to adventure in the wider world and come to Doom of the Savage Kings' Hirot - Established 2nd level characters hear of...

Re: [Request] Alternate Spell System
Ok with that idea! Now simplifying the actual magic system for your campaign is quite easy: 1) Print out the whole magic section. 2) Take a black marker pen and remove what you think is superfluous (spells/effects/successes/corruptions/etc). 3) et voilà! you have a brand-new simplified magic system!...

Re: Crawl! New Class Challenge: BARD!
I see your point. But it still feels like a subpar thief at low level to me..
Then again, almost all of my rpging is done at lower levels (by choice and because my games are monthly at best), so I'm obviously biased.

"skill check (d20 + level + personality modifier). Affected targets may receive a will save to resist (DC = skill check-10)."
-10 ??
So basically a bard of level 1 to 5 is useless almost half the time, at best??

Re: Invisibility
As Rick pointed in another thread:
Invisible companion spell, p. 173:
"It has AC 16, 1d8 hp, and all attacks against it have a 50% chance of missing due to its invisibility."
I'd go with that, or a AD&D "classic" -4 to hit penalty.

Re: Crawl! New Class Challenge: RANGER!
It is true that "my" Ranger is influenced by the class of version 3.x but a point of view Appendix N, this version of the Ranger is also influenced by Elbryan Wyndon, the main character of The DemonWars Saga written by RA Salvatore. DemonWars? The novel series written by D&D 3rd ed. n...

Seriously, I will jump in the bandwagon. (Maybe only at the 60$ level though.. still a good deal and I don't need so much pirate/space hulk/vermin minis.)

Re: What do you use for a campaign?
Right now I use "near your village" and someone "from Capital City..."
Keep it small and simple they said.
But since the giant map of Greyhawk is in the room, that would be the "unofficial" campaign setting.
