I mentioned in another thread "Mapping The Whole Thing Out" you could explore other planets by using a spatial placement program. The Ether is like an overlay of Prime Reality. By using a program which would map the displacement of the Ether, you could get an idea what an area would look l...

I suppose one could always fall back on " I think therefore..I am" but that doesn't mean a "person" has a soul. Religion would probably have no grey area concerning people like this. The more mainstream religions would accept them while fundamentalist (sp?) churches would see the...

How "exact" is the feeling during an Ether experience? For example, you have a shooting range for big game hunting, would the rifle have the same weight, trigger tension, and recoil as the genuine article?

One thing about the Ether, you could "be" in a zombie movie or Indiana Jones...it's an infinite holodeck.

Something else struck me about this...what about dead people? Could the recently deceased be used as a "blank"?

While a tv series may be waiting in the wings, a comic would be possible now. You have plenty of backstory and access to writing/artistic talent. Perhaps, a webcomic published a page at a time - 2 or 3 times a week? Whenever I've looked into doing comics before artists have been quite reluctant to ...

I think "green politics" would start as soon as the pollution would start causing illness and squalid living conditions. It would probably start with the upper classes, perhaps diletantes rebelling against their parents or members of the working class who are experiencing the pollution fir...

Oh yes, the Russians are very much opposed to the use of Transgenics. I think they could even be a haven for fleeing transgenics, where they would be treated as equals. Ben So it's like Casablanca then?? Would the powers that be send in rescue teams to liberate transgenics? btw..With all possible p...

I never had much of a chance to read Das Kapital, but doesn't the breeding of a worker class fly in the face of communism? I mean how can the workers control the factories if they're considered part of the equipment? Please note..that I didn't say my non-reading of Das Kapital was due to my bad Marx...

How are transgenics named? Since they're created..what takes the place of the family name? A batch number? Or do they take the family name of a member of the EL?

Someone with charisma could preach to the transgenics that just because they were born different doesn't mean that they are lesser beings. "And if you follow me..I shall..etc..etc.?" And on the flip side of that coin, doesn't a transgenic species seem tailor made for hate groups to focus ...

Their goal is to raise humanity above manual labour. They simply don't class transgenics as human in the same way that they class alpha and beta humans. I agree, they have their morals in a twist, but they do have a moral agenda. Remember, etherscope is a dark world, while the EL's moral agenda is ...

Re: EL and Profit

Interesting ideas but most of you forget that EL works as every human organasation for profit. Thats not actually a correct understanding. The EL is a non profit making fellowship of like minded individuals with shared goals and ideas and is run more like the Royal Society than a business. Individu...

Cloned bodies could also be used as "blanks" for creatures from the Etherscape. Stay tuned, you'll be seeing who and why would do this quite soon in a forthcoming supplement, and it isn't anyone as humanistic as the EL. Don't suppose your a Grant Morrison fan ?, that'd be a big help in gu...

Ralph..is good enough. Mr. The Dog is my father. I was also thinking that this type of "ether-mapping" could be used as a type of sonar/radar. Your domain could be either widened or lessened according to the input parameters. The larger the parameter the less definition you would ha...
