Re: Attention Peril on the Purple Planet Purchasers (boxed s

I just realized the Purple Planet box I got at Gen Con is an Author's Edition! Unfortunately, I got VII, which has already been posted. :(

I don't suppose anyone at Goodman Games may decide to contribute, or put them in next year's Annual?

Will it be possible to get Issue #2 at Gamehole Con with a large purchase?

Re: Goodman Games Gazette

I really enjoyed the Gazette. I wish there was a way to get the second issue, though. I purchased The Monster Alphabet at Gen Con, but all I got for purchase every day was Issue #3, and I got Issue #1 when I bought the Purple Planet boxed set.

Re: Dungeon Crawl Classics at Gen Con

I just found out I'll be able to make it to Gen Con this year! I attended Gary Con last year and had a great time playing the DCC RPG. It was such a great pleasure meeting everybody at Goodman Games. I'll have a handful of generic tickets in case a chair ends up empty. Otherwise, I guess I'll try an...

Re: DCC RPG at Oddysey Con 12

Getting ready for today's game at Odyssey Con, where I'll be running Joseph Goodman's 'The Portal Under the Stars'. While I've been to many conventions, and ran many games, this will be the first time I've run a game at a convention. I'm very excited, and hope there's a good turnout, that I get enou...

If anyone is interested, I could post my conversion of 'Hive of Villainy' after I run it this weekend.

Re: Character Goals (aka. DM plot hooks,)

You could use the situations set at the beginning of the Zero Level adventures as character goals and plot hooks. I think that the setup for 'The Portal Under the Stars' is an excellent motivation for the players.

I'm always curious about this but, does that mean you will read all the spells as well? I usually just go piecemeal and read them when needed. I have to agree with you, Thane. I've been busy getting ready for my events this weekend around my job, and I've only had the time to go over what I need. T...

Judge's Screen

Just so everyone knows, I wasn't going for anything professional looking. While I have experience working at a printing business, I no longer have access to equipment, nor do I have the budget to access one. I am no craftsman. In fact, as I was creating it, I kept picturing Bladezz's sister from 'Th...

Re: Spell Level Max

Just like the previous poster, I am only speculating on the reasons why the spells only go up to 5th level, but I do so based on some things I've found in the rulebook. First, an 18 ability score does allow access to 6th level spells. So far, nobody has stated that this is a typo. Secondly, on page ...

What else would you guys like to see? So far we've had requests for t-shirts, the judge's screen, and a spell grimoire. We have a freakin' ton of adventures in production, but anything else that peaks your DCC interest? //H The Judge's Screen, a new edition of Gazetteer of the Known Realms, and pap...

Re: Appendix N type movies.

I watched 13th Warrior for the first time the other night. I gotta say, Thanks! I really liked it. I'm going to judge this movie by how it inspires me to play D&D, and this movie sure does. Ensemble cast. Witches. A strange humanoid enemy. Epic sword fights. And mystery, darkness and weirdness....

I found this preview map from the adventure included in the preorder on Doug Kovacs' blog, in case anyone's interested. Due to its size, I decided it was better to link to it than post it.

Joe, what was your soundtrack when coming up with this game? What are you DM's listening to when writing up your campaigns? I'm thinking anything from the late 1970's is fair game. I'll start - To me, DCC is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03kmoGQBisw Camel - Lunar Sea This is a tricky subject for ...
