Wow, this sounds cool.
Goodman Games is awesome for doing these 1E conversions... I just wish more of the DCCs could be converted throughout the year. Say, the top 6 best selling DCCs get converted each year (one every other month)? I know I'm dreaming but, hey, what the heck.

Battlemaps for DCC7?
I tried to download the battlemaps for Secret of Smugglers Cove but its a no go. Does anyone still have these or can someone fix the link at Prester's Maps and Charts Emporium?

Looks like someone kept their supply of DCC 51.5 to themselves to sell on eBay. This guy has 2 for sale, and already sold one last week: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcaptians1mateQQhtZ-1 I hope it isn't a store that decided to not give them away, but to try to make a profit on eBay. Dude...

As for binding, since the page count rose to 80 pages, this will be a perfect bound book. Reading this I thought of something. It would have been cool to see this project released as three (3) separate modules each with the classic TSR monochrome covers of yore like the original D or G serie...

One of the ones that surprised me, was Crypt of the Devil Lich. Playing the 4 hour wekly sessions, it still took 6 sessions to complete. I found myself asking how this was playable as a tournament competition with a time frame that long? That surprises me too... especially when you consider the dun...

I'm glad to hear that its done too... What I don't understand is that, if its already finished (and there will be copies available at the con) why will it take until November before its released to the general public? I'm no expert on the turn around time for products to go to the printer and come b...

Castle Whiterock Introduction
Nice to see Castle Whiterock featured on the Goodman Games Homepage and in the coming soon section... "As the flame of my second life sputters and dims, I find myself thinking more and more on those heroes who, though we first met as enemies, granted me another opportunity to sip from life's cu...

Average number of sessions per module?
I know this will vary quite a bit depending on the group but let's assume that a group of gamers meets twice a week for gaming sessions that last about 3 - 5 hours each. We will also assume that the gaming group consists of one DM and four players who each control one PC. Given that, how long do you...

Revenge of the Rat King
I was wondering if you could use Revenge of the Rat King as a stand alone module?
I know its sort of a sequel to DCC#1 Idyss of the Rat King but can it be run easily on its own? Has anyone ever tried it?

I'm curious about the 1E conversion process. Does anyone know if just the core 1E books were used to make the conversion or if other books like the 1E Unearthed Arcana were used as well (for spells, classes, the new version of the paladin, etc...) Personally, I hope that just the core books were use...

Looking to trade 1E Iron Crypt of the Herteics
Ok, so I have a mint 2nd print copy of the 1st Edition version of Iron Crypt of the Heretics and I'm looking to trade it for something else. I'd be interested in getting a new or almost new copy of Vault of the Dragon Kings. I'm also interested in The Blackguards Revenge and The Secret of Smugglers ...

Re: Which really are Classics?
Hi guys, I'm planning on running a one-shot adventure for a group of friends during our Gencon Stay one night, and I'm really considing a Dungeon Crawl Classic. Which would you consider a GREAT one to play? Level isn't really an issue, they'll bring whatever level PC I tell them. If you have a copy...

Ironically, a bigger company like WotC might have a tougher time pulling off something like Whiterock because they might have to justify the use of so many resources to Hasbro. (I honestly don't know how financial approval works over there -- I'm just guessing based on my years in the corporate wor...

If you own Castle Whiterock, who would have time for those silly girls anyway, hm? Or, to put it in another perspective: for a hundred bucks, which girl could give you the amount of long lasting pleasure that a megadungeon from Goodman Games wou...

Rath, I just checked my original manuscript and you are correct. It needs to include the part about the waters receeding after 24 hours ... but Sinister's writer left it out.  //H That's funny :) Normally I don't even notice stuff like that. Either way, it's one of my favorite modules ...

I wanted to mention that I finally took the time to read over the short but sweet module, Sinister Secret of Whiterock last week. It may only have 12 or so encounters but it is a quality module nevertheless that is full of action, unusual encounters and surprises. One thing I thought was kind of str...

I hope whiterock is not like Undermountain... it would definitely keep me from buying it. From the page count though, it sounds like Castle Whiterock will be a fully fleshed out megadungeon much like Rappan Athuk. I can only hope... Don't worry, Rath. Don't worry at all. From what I've seen of it, ...

You know, I would have been much more interested in the 2E Ruins of Undermountain and the Expedition to Undermountain if TSR/Wizards had actually developed it more... as many others have said about those products, too many empty rooms. I would have rather seen Expedition to Undermountain as a 320 pa...
